Older Practitioner Ms. Hu Zhenru Arrested in Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province - Her Daughter from Hong Kong Asks for Help in Rescuing Her Mother

Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Hu Zhenru, 59, began practising Falun Dafa in 1999. She was arrested around noon on January 14th, 2007, on her way to speaking out for justice in Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province. She was first held at Xiejiadian Police Station located in Dachang Town, Nanjing City, and then was taken to Nanjing City Detention Centre between 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. on the same day. As she was being arrested, her home was ransacked by seven or eight police officers. Her husband and younger daughter resisted the ransacking of their home, and condemned the police for violating the law. The police injured her husband with brutal force.

Ms. Hu's husband and younger daughter later went to the police station to visit Ms. Hu. Police said that Ms. Hu was detained, and asked her family to sign a detention slip which did not allow them to visit for seven days. The family can only send her things through the police. It was learned that Ms. Hu has been taken to the Nanjing City Detention Centre. Due to the injuries from the beatings by police, Ms. Hu's husband could not get around easily. Ms. Hu's younger daughter went to Yanjiang District Police Department alone, looking for policeman Zhou Guoyi, who was involved in the arrest, but could not find him. A female police officer told her that Ms. Hu Zhenru will be sent to a brainwashing class.

Ms. Hu's older daughter is a permanent resident in Hong Kong City. She does not practise Falun Dafa, but is very supportive of her mother's cultivation. She requested the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)government release her mother immediately, and asks for help in rescuing her mother.
