On December 13th, 2006, officers from Qinghe Street Police Station, Chaoyang Branch of the Changchun City Public Security Bureau broke into the home of Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Luo Shuchun. Immediately after, Ms. Luo's body flew out of the building and she died. The police from Qinghe Street Police Station are directly responsible for Ms. Luo's death.

Ms. Luo Shuchun

Ms. Luo Shuchun was 55 years old and came from Changchun City, Jilin Province. She used to work at the Jilin Province Police College on file administration as a level two police supervisor. Ms. Luo began to practise Falun Gong in 1998, and as a result her physical health and morality greatly improved. In 1999, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started its persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. The school where Ms. Lou worked began to pressure her to renounce Falun Gong. Hoping the school authorities would be able to tell right from wrong, and not be deceived by the CCP's hate propaganda, Ms. Luo explained to her supervisors in writing that Falun Gong teaches people to do good deeds, helps people elevate their morality and purify their minds, and has done only great things for the Chinese people. However, the school decided to follow the CCP's orders and fired her from the party and her job, and suspended her salary. In addition, the police from Qinghe Street Police Station in her neighbourhood repeatedly harassed, arrested and incarcerated her.

When the police from the Qinghe Street Police Station went to Ms. Luo's home and tried to force her to renounce Falun Gong in writing, Ms. Luo refused. A young policeman slapped her twice on the face. She looked at the policeman and was shocked to find that he used to be her student.

In 2002, the police pried her front door open and arrested her from her home. On the same day, Ms. Luo escaped from the police's custody.

In 2005, when Ms. Luo Shuchun was renewing her ID at Qinghe Street Police Station, the police learned her name and attempted to arrest and imprison her. In fact, a young policeman punched her in the chest repeatedly on the spot. It was not until the Chaoyang Branch told the police to let her go that she was released.

After having been repeatedly arrested, detained and incarcerated, Ms. Luo fled from home to avoid further persecution.

The police from Qinghe Street Police Station broke into Ms. Luo's home around 11:00 a.m. on December 13th, 2006, after learning she had returned home. They knocked off the door lock and forced their way in. Ms. Luo died shortly after the police broke in.

After Ms. Luo died, the police from the Qinghe Street Police Station claimed that she had committed suicide and completely denied any responsibility. Meanwhile, they ransacked her home and took photographs. Afterwards, the police spread rumours to Ms. Luo's neighbours that Ms. Luo was printing Falun Gong materials when they entered her home and that they had 16 categories of evidence to arrest her. The police also threatened Ms. Luo's family, and tried to find fault in Ms. Luo's son because he, too, practises Falun Gong. The police tried to shift the attention to cover up the fact that they had caused her death.

Apparently, the police from the Qinghe Street Police Station followed Jiang Zemin's order to "kill Falun Gong practitioners without pardon." They broke into Ms. Luo's private home without any warrant, damaged her door lock, and photographed her home at will in an attempt to find evidence against her. However, their so-called "evidence" is nothing but flyers containing the truth about the CCP's persecution against Falun Gong practitioners. The evidence even included Ms. Luo's PC, printer, VCD and mobile phone, daily necessities for today's people. Ms. Luo had a collection of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party 1 in print, on VCD and in flyers, but these contain nothing but the truth.

Ms. Luo's death has raised a lot of suspicion. When she started to practise Falun Gong, she became perfectly healthy and cheerful. Her son works out of town and has been very close to her. Her friends and family members found her perfectly well and could not think of any motivation for suicide.

Before her body flew out of the building, Ms. Luo Shuchun made a phone call to a fellow practitioner, asking for help. This proves that she did not think of committing suicide when the police tried to break in. On the contrary, she asked for help when she heard the police smashing the door.

How did Ms. Luo Shuchun's body end up flying out of the building? What happened between the time when the police broke in and when her body flew out of the building? Since the CCP told the police that the death of Falun Gong practitioners will be counted as suicide when you kill them, is there anything that the police would not dare to do? Whether Ms. Luo had no choice but to take the chance of jumping from the building in order to escape, or the police threw her body from building after they had killed her, the police are responsible for her death!

In today's China, the CCP state security officers may accuse Falun Gong practitioners of disrupting social order and arrest and imprison them at will when they find them walking on the streets. When they find practitioners sitting at home, the police may break down the door and accuse practitioners of obstructing justice and sentence them to prison. When Falun Gong practitioners die of injustice, the CCP accuses them of committing suicide.

We urge all human rights organisations worldwide to pay serious attention to China's abuses and the murder of Falun Gong practitioners in Changchun City. We urge human rights organisations worldwide to condemn the persecution, stop the abuse and killing, and bring these murderers to justice. Please help restore Falun Gong practitioners' human rights!
