    The Danish Falun Gong Association intends to file a lawsuit against Jia Chunwang, the former minister of public security, for the systematic torture and killing of thousands of innocent practitioners of Falun Gong. And Denmark must not let this man go, explains the association’s spokesperson Marco Hsu. “Jia Chunwang is at the top of the so-called “6-10 Office”, which was set up with the sole purpose of eliminating Falun Gong. Therefore he is responsible for all that has happened and he will be brought to court.”
  • Denmark: Danish Falun Gong Practitioners File a Lawsuit against Jia Chunwang, the Former Minister of the Public Security Bureau and the Head of the "610" Office in China

    On August 28th, 2005, Falun Gong practitioners in Denmark filed a lawsuit with the Danish police, which requested the Danish procurator to arrest Jia Chunwang who is currently visiting Denmark. As the former Minister of the Public Security Bureau of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), Jia committed serious crimes in persecuting Falun Gong.
  • Finland: Holding an Anti-torture Exhibition to Let More People Know the Facts of the Persecution

    On August 14th, some Falun Gong practitioners from North Europe and Latvia gathered at the busiest business centre in Helsinki to let people know about Falun Gong and the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China. They demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises and held an anti-torture exhibition. Tourists from various countries signed the petition one after another.
  • France: Promoting Falun Gong on Place Denfert-Rochereau in Paris

    Place Denfert-Rochereau, located in the 14th district of Southern Paris, is famous for its large lion sculpture expressing France’s courage and determination. It is also a busy traffic inter-section leading to the Orly Airport. On August the 27th, 2005, French Falun Gong practitioners came here as part of a nationwide tour to promote Falun Gong.

    'Procurator General Jia Chunwang isn’t just anybody. China’s highest prosecutor was minister of public security in 1999, when China’s government decided to crush Falun Gong, and according to the complaint he was one of the main persons behind the brutal campaign against the movement’s practitioners. From one day to another, the peaceful and apolitical meditation-movement was banned, and millions of its practitioners became hunted victims both inside and outside China. Since then, the reports have been piling up at the UN, Amnesty International and in the international media about imprisonments, torture, persecution and murder.'
  • Finland: Falun Gong Practitioners Invited to Koli to Introduce the Practice

    Practitioners introduced the practice at a health fare in Pyhä-Koli, and a teacher from Joensuu learned the exercises. She wanted to learn more about the persecution and about the practice of Falun Gong. A few months later she made a call and asked if we could come to Koli and introduce the practice to her students at the college in North-Karelia.
  • Sweden: Exhibition of a Thousand Lotus Flowers

    An exhibition entitled “A Thousand Lotus Flowers” was held in a public library in Stockholm, Sweden for the first time between August 20th and August 30th. In the exhibition, practitioners related a twelve year-old girl called Evelina’s dream of making a thousand paper Lotus Flowers to end the persecution in China during last Easter.
  • European Friends of Falun Gong Writes to the UK Prime Minister

    "In view of your forthcoming visit to China to hold talks with Chinese President Hu Jintao next week, we wish to draw to your attention the plight of the millions of Falun Gong practitioners who have suffered at the hands of the Chinese authorities since the practice of Falun Gong was outlawed by former President Jiang Zemin in July 1999. Since then nearly 3,000 practitioners have died in custody as the result of torture by a leadership which is inextricably linked to the Chinese Communist Party."
  • Copenhagen Post: Chinese Procurator-General Risks Investigation (Excerpt)

    On Sunday August 28th 2005, renowned Denmark lawyer Tyge Trier filed a lawsuit on behalf of Falun Gong practitioners against Jia Chunwang, procurator general of CCP Supreme People's Procuratorate and one of the central figures in China's Gestapo-like 610 Office -- for crimes contravening the UN Convention Against Torture. Jia Chunwang was sued the same day he arrived in Denmark to partake in an international conference for prosecutors being held in Copenhagen.
  • Estonia: Falun Gong Practitioners Invited to Participate in the Health Expo at Saue City

    Estonian Falun Gong practitioners were invited to participate in a Health Expo in Saue City on August 27th. Practitioners demonstrated the five Falun Gong exercises. While discussing Falun Gong, practitioners also informed the public of the brutal persecution initiated by Jiang Zemin and carried out by the Chinese Communist Party over the past six years.
  • Spain: Practitioners Study the Principles of Falun Dafa and Expose the Persecution Together

    From August 13th to August 16th, Falun Gong practitioners from Spain gathered in Barcelona to hold four days of activities including group study of Falun Gong's principles, sharing and exchanging opinions and understandings, and exposing the persecution. To begin with, practitioners held an anti-persecution photo exhibition and signature collection.
  • Germany: Falun Gong Practitioners at Dresden City Festival

    On August 20th and 21st, 2005, Falun Gong practitioners were again invited to participate in the Dresden City Festival. During the two days, Falun Gong practitioners demonstrated the five Falun Gong exercises; some distributed leaflets to passers-by; and others gave away hand-made paper Lotus Flowers. Lots of people stopped to watch and chat.
  • Germany: First Falun Gong Anti-Torture Exhibition Held in Frankfurt

    “It is time to give people a wake-up call!” This a remark a visitor wrote in the guest-book during Frankfurt's first outdoor anti-torture exhibition, held in Römerberg Square. The author called the attention-grabbing exhibition run by the Frankfurt-based Falun Gong group a very meaningful action and encouraged them to publicise the persecution in China.
  • Finland: Falun Gong Practitioners Invited to Attend an Exhibition in Tornio

    Practitioners in Finland took part in an exhibition in Tornio, a city in the north of Finland on the border with Sweden. There were around 170 exhibitors, and Falun Gong was invited to be one of them. At our booth people could learn that Falun Gong is about the ongoing persecution in China and we had a petition where people could sign their names.
