Ms. Wang Aihua Sent to a Labour Camp Three Times and Suffers Severe Abuse

Ms. Wang Aihua, a Falun Gong practitioner from Chongqing, was sent to labour camp three times over the past 10-plus years during the persecution of Falun Gong. She suffered from a severe head injury at the hands of prison inmates and was forcibly injected with medicine. Her head injury led to further, internal injuries and impaired a cervical vertebra, resulting in dizziness, headaches, and memory loss for a long time, including temporary blindness. When she went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution, the abusers force-fed her through a tube. Guards used the force-feeding to torture her, making her mouth and nose bleed severely. -
Wife of Xu Zhi from Baiquan County, Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province, Recounts the Persecution of Her Husband Since 2000
2010-05-05I had a happy family before the Chinese Communist regime started its suppression of Falun Gong in 1999. My husband, Xu Zhi, has been arrested, detained, sentenced to prison, and brutally tortured many times. The officers at Hulan Intensive Training Centre ordered prison inmates to torture Xu Zhi to try to get him to renounce Falun Gong in writing. They repeatedly beat my husband from head to toe with rubber hoses. Due to the excruciating pain in his head, he had to sleep at night without leaning his head on any surface. The pain in his legs made him limp. There is no longer joy or happiness in my home. My family has been destroyed as a result of China's persecution of Falun Gong. -
Ms. Liu Chunyan Detained and in Critical Condition--Elderly Mother Publishes Open Letter Asking for Her Release
2010-05-05The following is an open letter written by Ms. Liu's mother, demanding her daughter's release: As a previously critically ill patient, my daughter became healthy, both mentally and physically. It was Falun Gong that changed and saved her. She has no other intentions but to compassionately tell people about her own experience benefiting from Falun Gong. Her only hope is that people will understand the beauty of Falun Gong and learn about the brutal persecution that the government is carrying out against Falun Gong. What she said was all true from her personal experience, and it was done in a just and honourable way, she didn't violate the Constitution, and she no laws. Furthermore, you know as well as I that she didn't hurt anyone in doing so. -
Persecution of Falun Gong Practitioners by Lawless Wuhan Railway Bureau Officials
2010-05-04Ms. Chen Xiaoling, 51 years old, was an employee of Xiangfan Railway Sub-bureau. In January 2002, she was sentenced to one year of forced labour and taken to Shayang Forced Labour Camp. During her detention, she was repeatedly tortured. She was cuffed, hung up, and suffered from exposure to the scorching sun for extended periods. Ms. Yu Furong was an employee of the Wuchang Railway Station. She went to appeal for the right to practise Falun Gong in 2000, and was detained at a brainwashing centre run by railway authorities. She was persecuted at the centre for several months. In 2001, the station officials showed complete disregard of the law, and took her to the Hewan Forced Labour Camp. She was sentenced to one year of forced labour. -
Shang Xiaodong, Yin Jun and Zhang Fengqin in Changchun City Sentenced to Forced Labour
2010-05-04On March 5th, Falun Gong practitioners Mr. Shang Xiaodong, Ms. Yin Jun, Ms. Zhang Fengqin, and Ms. Yao Meiling, were arrested by police officers from the Changchun City Public Security Bureau and Nanguan Branch. The following day they were taken to the Third Detention Centre in Changchun City. A month later, the practitioners were then sentenced to forced labour without their families being notified. The police did not give their families any documents and did not allow them to visit. -
Mr. Li Zhengbing Tortured at Duyun Prison in Guizhou Province
2010-05-04Mr. Li Zhengbing, a Falun Gong practitioner, was arrested in March, 2008 by police. Then Mr. Li was sentenced to two years of imprisonment. In Duyun prison, Mr. Li was physically and mentally abused and tortured. Mr. Li has changed significantly from a healthy, energetic person into a white-haired, emaciated man with a swollen face. Mr. Li was locked in an underground cell, which is small, dark, damp and without any sunlight. Mr. Li Zhengbing was forced to work four to five hours every day like a slave. The work environment was extremely harsh. -
Ms. Li Huijuan Suddenly Became Mentally Disordered in Baimalong Forced Labour Camp after Guards Gave Her Some "Milk"
2010-05-03Ms. Li Huijuan, a Falun Gong practitioner, was arrested on the evening of May 20th, 2009, when she was distributing leaflets exposing the persecution and telling people the facts about Falun Gong in Leiyang City. She was later sentenced to one year of forced labour and detained in Baimalong Woman Forced Labour in Zhuzhou. During the 2010 Chinese New Year, deceived by the guards, she accepted two cups of milk. She immediately became confused, and her memory faded dramatically. On March 12th, she was sent home because of her mental disorder. -
Mr. Liang Zhenxing Tortured in the Siping City Prison, then Transferred to Gongzhuling City Prison, Jilin Province
2010-05-03Mr. Liang Zhenxing, a Falun Gong practitioner from Changchun City, Jilin Province, was arrested in 2002 and sentenced to 19 years of imprisonment. In December 2009 he was transferred from the Siping City Prison to the Gongzhuling City Prison, Jilin Province. Before the transfer, he was severely tortured by prison guards and inmates in the Siping City Prison. In 2002, in order to speak out for justice for Falun Gong to people deceived by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) slanderous propaganda about Falun Gong, several practitioners tapped into the cable networks in Changchun City and broadcast a video programme relating the true story of the Tiananmen Square self-immolation incident. In retaliation, the CCP arrested more than 5,000 Falun Gong practitioners. -
Mr. Chen Jizhong and Ms. Chen Jihuan Sentenced to Prison in Heilongjiang Province
2010-05-03Mr. Chen Jizhong, 69, and his younger sister, Ms. Chen Jihuan, 56, have been arrested and had their homes searched by police officers from Yilan County. Both brother and sister have recently been secretly sentenced by the Yilan County Court. Mr. Chen Jizhong has been sentenced to six years in prison, and Ms. Chen Jihuan to four years in prison. Since the persecution of Falun Gong started in 1999, Mr. Chen has been arrested five times, and was held at the Lianjiangkou Prison in Jiamusi City for five years. Ms. Chen was previously sentenced to three years of forced labour, despite her legs being disabled. -
Ms. Liu Zhimei and Her Caregiver Ms. Gao Chunhong Arrested
2010-05-03Ms. Liu Zhimei was admitted by Tsinghua University with the highest entrance score in Shandong Province. Because she persisted in her practice of Falun Gong, she was sentenced to 12 years of imprisonment and suffered a mental collapse. The prison administration injected her with unknown drugs before her release in 2008, causing her to suddenly become insane three days after arriving home. Ms. Liu and several local Falun Gong practitioners who have been taking care of her were arrested in April 2010. -
Mr. Lu Chunshan Suffers Ten Years of Persecution for Practising Falun Gong
2010-05-02On January 27th, 2005, Mr. Lu Chunshan was secretly sentenced to three years of forced labour and sent to the Xinhua Forced Labour Camp again. At the labour camp, he again suffered various forms of torture, including solitary confinement, the tiger bench, forced labour, brainwashing, and other methods. On March 22nd, 2008, Mr. Lu came home after three years and 70 days of detention. Although he was not yet 40 years old at the time, all of his hair had become grey and he had lost four teeth. Right after his release, the authorities started to monitor him again. The officials from local Domestic Security Division, local police station, and his former workplace all came to his home to harass him a total of seven times. -
Ms. Luo Meiting, a Disabled Farmer, Repeatedly Arrested and Beaten for Adhering to the Principles of Truthfulness-Benevolence-Forbearance
2010-05-02Ms. Luo Meiting, 48, started practising Falun Gong in 1997, and soon noticed a significant improvement in her mind and body. However, when the persecution started in 1999, despite being disabled, the police repeatedly arrested her and she has been detained in the police station, detention centre, brainwashing centre, and forced labour camp, all because of her belief in the principles of truthfulness-benevolence-forbearance. -
Two Sisters from Tangshan City Secretly Sentenced
2010-05-02Ms. Wang Xiuwen and Ms. Wang Xiuqin, who had been arrested six months ago by police while they were distributing information about the persecution of Falun Gong in a market were secretly sentenced to three and a half years of imprisonment. Officers from the Xiaoji Township Police Station ransacked their home on January 21st and abducted their sister, Ms. Wang Xiuli. They threatened Wang Xiuli to prevent her from hiring a lawyer or requesting the release of her sisters. -
Changsha City Court Sentences Ms. Song Fangming to Three Years in Prison without Evidence
2010-05-02On September 28th, 2009, police broke into Ms. Song Fangming's mother's home. They arrested Falun Gong practitioner Song Fangming, her mother Zou Guihua, who is blind, and their maid. They also confiscated two cars on their property. The maid was released on the same day. Zou Guihua was not released until fifteen days later. Ms. Song, however, was prosecuted by the Tianxin District Procuratorate for crimes she didn't commit and sent to a detention centre in Changsha City. -
Tyranny in Chongqing Women's Forced Labour Camp
2010-05-01Ms. Tang Suzhen is over 60 years old. When she was incarcerated in Chongqing Women's Forced Labour camp in 2005 she was locked up in a confined space, forced to squat for long periods of time, and stand in "military postures" for extended periods of time. Guards Hu Xiaoyan and Chen Yanyan instigated drug addicts Luo Deying, Zhao Qin and others to beat her, curse at her, tell her lies, force her to stand in the hot sun, physically punish her, add unknown drugs to her food, and only allow her to sleep for two to three hours a day. After two months of such torture she had become emaciated, her feet were so swollen that they wouldn't fit in her shoes, and she couldn't concentrate. During this time she was not permitted to see her family.
