Linyi City Court in Shandong Province Holds Secret Trial for Innocent Falun Gong Practitioners
2012-10-30
Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Deng Liangcun and Ms. Fu Guiying were abducted by police on June 6th, 2012; however, their arrest warrants were issued on July 6th. Their family members hired attorneys for them from Beijing. The Lanshan District Procuratorate and Lanshan Police Department attempted to shuffle responsibilities to each other and blocked the attorneys from visiting the practitioners. Lanshan Court secretly put them on trial on October 8th, without notifying their families. -
The Ordeal of a Village Couple in Zhejiang Province
2012-10-30Mr. Shi Xiaorong and his wife, Ms. Shi Meiying, are Falun Gong practitioners in a village in Yongkang City, Zhejiang Province who were sentenced to prison terms for exposing the persecution of Falun Gong and the persecution. They were physically abused and injected with unknown drugs, which caused them to suffer from edema. The wife passed away in 2011 as a result of the persecution, and the husband was recently arrested again. His current whereabouts are unknown. -
Ms. Rong Dehuan from Bazhou City, Hebei Province Detained in Labour Camp
2012-10-30Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Rong Dehuan was sentenced to one year in a labour camp without her family being informed. A month after Ms. Rong was arrested, her family asked the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) staff about their daughter’s situation, but the response was only lies, and to this day her family has not been able to see Ms. Rong. -
Attorney Zhu Yubiao from Guangzhou City Near Death, Persecuted in a “Legal Education School”
2012-10-30Attorney Zhu Yubiao from Guangzhou was sentenced by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) because he practises Falun Gong. After suffering two years of imprisonment, he was transferred from prison to the Sanshui Brainwashing Centre in Guangzhou Province on August 17th, 2012. Mr. Zhu's 76-year-old father drove more than 280 kilometres (174 miles) to Beijiang Prison in Shaoguan, Guangdong Province. As he was following procedures to pick up his son, he was told that Mr. Zhu had already been picked up. Mr. Zhu's father asked prison director Xiao to release his son. Xiao said, “I am not releasing your son to you. I have just sent him to a local government department.” Mr. Zhu was on a hunger strike to protest the injustice for over a month. He was near death. -
Exemplary Employee Brutally Tortured at Wuhan Brainwashing Centre
2012-10-26Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Lin Hai was arrested at his workplace and sent to Wuhan Brainwashing Centre. The centre has held more than fifty brainwashing sessions, and more than 1200 Falun Gong practitioners have been persecuted there. Many have been injured, disabled, and driven to mental collapses due to torture. Falun Gong practitioners Wang Haoyun, Yang Xianfeng, and Zheng Yuling died after being persecuted there. Mr. Lin was subjected to various tortures in the centre. Persecutors at the centre claimed that Mr. Lin Hai was not eating his meals, and used it as an excuse to force-feed him. Force-feeding is done by inserting a rubber tube through the nose. The process of inserting the tube causes tremendous pain. -
Elderly Gansu Province Woman Forcefully Administered Unknown Drugs
2012-10-26Sixty-nine-year-old Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Fan Juncao was arrested by police at the end of July, 2012, when she unfolded a banner about Falun Gong. The police took her to the Ning County Detention Centre where she was detained for 30 days. During that period, guard Ma and prison doctors beat her violently and forcefully administered unknown drugs. The drugs harmed her stomach, intestines and other organs. Today, half a month after her release, she remains heavily fatigued, is unable to eat, and is bedridden. -
The Miserable Screams That Could Not Be Blocked by a Sound-Proof Confinement Room
2012-10-26In Shanxi Province's Jinzhong Women's Prison, guard Wang Fuying is trying to force Ms. Li Hong to quit Falun Gong. Wang deprives Ms. Li of sleep and instructs inmates to torture her using various means. Since August 21st, 2012, Wang has not allowed Ms. Li to sleep. Wang instructed prison inmates to hit or pinch Ms. Li, or do anything they can to keep her awake 24 hours a day. One night, Li Hong was stripped completely naked and tortured in a sound-proof confinement room. In spite of the sound proofing, her screams could still be heard outside. -
Ms. Chen Xiaoyue Tells of Forced Injections Taken in Guangdong Women's Prison
2012-10-26In 2008 I was arrested for distributing Falun Gong flyers in public and sentenced to three years in prison. In Guangdong Women's Prison guards did not allow me to sleep, made me sit on a small stool, and forced me to stand for long periods of time. In the prison's attempts to “transform” [forcibly renounce Falun Gong] me, I was threatened, tortured, and brainwashed every day. I was injected with unknown drugs on January 11th, 2011, and I had a headache and felt dizzy for days. I kept collapsing when I tried to walk and had chest pain. -
Mr. Wang Yafu Cured of Numerous Health Problems, Then Arrested Eight Times for Practising Falun Gong
2012-10-26Mr. Wang Yafu, a 59-year-old villager from Liaoning Province, had his numerous health ailments cured after only six months of starting his Falun Gong practice in 1996. His numerous conditions, including heart disease, hepatitis and arthritis disappeared without a trace. The past 13 years, however, saw him arrested eight times, incarcerated at a detention centre three times, sentenced to forced labour three times and have his home ransacked nine times. He was also forced to go through brainwashing the last time he was arrested in 2009. -
Ms. Tian Xiaoping Wrongfully Sentenced to 14 Years in Heilongjiang Province
2012-10-26Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Tian Xiaoping, 51, was one of the victims in the “big arrest” in Shuangcheng that occurred on November 13th, 2011. She and four other practitioners were sentenced to 14 years in prison. Two others were sentenced to 13 and 11 years, respectively. The attorney was astounded when the court ignored the prosecutor's recommendation of three to five-year sentences. Falun Gong practitioners work very hard to follow Truth-Compassion-Forbearance in their lives. They should not be detained at all, nor should they be sentenced. -
Mr. Chen Deguan from Lanzhou Detained for Over a Year; His Wife Arrested Again
2012-10-26Mr. Chen Deguan from Lanzhou is 66 years old. He has been detained for over a year. His wife, Ms. Sheng Chunmei, was arrested for the second time in two years on July 28th, 2012, and is also currently detained. Officials attempted to put Mr. Chen on trial, the judge delayed the trial indefinitely at the last minute when his defense lawyers showed up. -
Older Practitioner in Shandong Province Sent to Forced Labour Camp
2012-10-26On August 4th, 2012, Mr. Xu Yanjiang, 65, was arrested when he was distributing Shen Yun DVDs [a world-class traditional Chinese cultural show] and taken to the Zhangzhuang Detention Centre. Police said they would detain him for two weeks. His family went to relevant departments to seek his release, but each department just passed responsibility and refused to release him. Two weeks later, the police secretly sent Mr. Xu to the Jinan Second Men's Forced Labour Camp. When the family found out where Mr. Xu was imprisoned and went to ask for his release, they were refused entry by the labour camp. -
Mr. Sun Jianzhong from Tangshan City Brutally Tortured
2012-10-23Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Sun Jianzhong has been arrested many times since the persecution of Falun Gong began in 1999. He was previously sentenced to seven years imprisonment and has been subjected to all kinds of torture and abuse. His ribs were broken twice, his eardrums were ruptured twice, and his thigh was injured. While Mr. Sun had his hands cuffed behind his back, he was punched and beaten and slapped in the face. -
Elderly Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Yu Zaorong Covertly Sentenced to Three Years in Prison
2012-10-23Sixty-eight-year-old Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Yu Zaorong has been brutally persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) over the past 12 years. She was arrested while distributing Falun Gong leaflets in March, detained, subjected to brainwashing and brutal torture, and was recently sentenced to three years in prison. -
Falun Gong Practitioner Song Yaqin, 54, Persecuted in Hohhot Women's Prison
2012-10-23Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Song Yaqin was arrested at her son's home on December 24th, 2009 by police. She was sentenced to six years in prison by a Chinese Communist Party (CCP) court in 2010. She is currently being held in Hohhot Women's Prison in Inner Mongolia. Because she would not give up her belief; she was denied visitation rights. She was often beaten and subjected to sleep deprivation by inmates. Guards beat her and shocked her with electric batons.
