After Severe Torture, Elderly Practitioner Zhang Peiyun from Sichuan Province Given Nine and a Half Year Sentence

On February 24th, 2006, the People’s Court of East District in Panzhihua City sentenced 60-year-old Ms. Zhang Peiyun to nine years and six months’ imprisonment. At the police station, when she was arrested, she was hung up for nine days and nine nights. In those nine days, she was not allowed to sleep. As soon as she closed her eyes, policewoman Tian Ping poured cold water onto her chest. Her clothing was always wet. A heavy policeman, about 5.9 feet tall, fiercely beat Ms. Zhang Peiyun’s head, which gave her a very painful headache. Policeman Tian Ping said, "We treat Falun Gong even fiercer than those who commit homicide and arson." Tian Ping pinched Ms. Zhang’s wrists and shoulders, causing her even more pain. -
Non-Practitioner Couple Sentenced to Prison Because Wife's Older Sister Practises Falun Gong
2006-08-09Presently in the women’s prison, there are 169 older people whose ages are from 60 to 74. They were sentenced to prison terms of 4 to 12 years. The women’s prison falsely tells outsiders that it implements humanity in its management, but actually the torture of the minds of Falun Gong practitioners is very serious. A Falun Gong practitioner who is 64 years old persisted in her practice, so the police tortured her by way of sleep deprivation. This eventually caused the blood vessels in the elderly lady’s brain to leak, causing hemiplegia and paralysis on one side of the body. According to the medical examiner’s appraisal, as well as the law, she qualifies for release in order to seek medical treatment, but the police didn’t release her until recently, giving all kinds of excuses. -
My Experience of Being Arrested and Persecuted by the Dehui City Police Department
2006-08-08In early March, a practitioner and I were arrested in our home by police and taken to a hotel used to persecute practitioners. Several policemen tortured me. They pulled me up from the ground, pushed me into a big chair and handcuffed my hands behind the back of the chair. I refused to cooperate with them and they started to pour water into my mouth. Two of them used a hard object to forcibly pry open my mouth. One person made an effort to pull my handcuffs downward and pulled my hair. Due to extreme pain, I started to stamp my feet, and then they tied my feet to a chair and continued persecuting me. During this period, they would pause for a while when they felt tired. Meanwhile, a policeman wrote down a list of false charges against me. -
An Account of Jilin Province Practitioner Mr. Pan Zhaowen's Arrest and Persecution by National Security Agents
2006-08-05On December 13th, practitioner Mr. Pan Zhaowen was secretly arrested by local national security agents. After the Minghui [Chinese version of Clearwisdom.net] website reported this incident, many practitioners inside China and abroad were very concerned. Mr. Pan Zhaowen went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution. Failing to force Mr. Pan to renounce Dafa after exhausting their methods, the national security agents then extorted 10,000 yuan from Mr. Pan's relatives and released him before the Chinese New Year. They claimed that Mr. Pan participated in the interception of TV signals and operated an underground publishing place. -
Dafa Practitioner Ms. Liu Peizhen from Shenzhen Sentenced to Eight Years
2006-07-30Dafa practitioner Ms. Liu Peizhen was arrested at her room on April 14th last year by police from Xili local police station, who were incited by the Nanshan District 610 Office and the Nanshan District Public Security sub-bureau. They confiscated her computer. Ms. Liu was imprisoned in Nanshan District prison for more than a year. During this period of time, police did not allow her relatives to visit her. Around November 2005, Nanshan District Court held a trial of Ms. Liu and other three Dafa practitioners. In April 2006, Ms. Liu was sentenced to eight years in jail. -
Falun Dafa Practitioner Bian Fusheng Dies After Suffering Persecution for Several Years
2006-07-25Since the evil regime started suppressing Falun Gong on July 20th 1999, Bian Fusheng, a Falun Dafa practitioner from Acheng City, Heilongjiang Province, and his whole family suffered ongoing persecution just because they practised "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." Seven family members were once illegally sent to forced labour camps or prison. His daughter Bian Yaping was arrested many times and illegally sent to a labour camp for two years. Later, she was sentenced to five years in prison for distributing leaflets. Ms. Bian is still imprisoned at the Heilongjiang Provincial Women's Prison. -
Mr. Pan Yujun and Many Other Falun Gong Practitioners Arrested by 610 Office Agents from Laizhou City
2006-07-25On May 6th, 2006, corrupt agents associated with the 610 Office State Security Team in Laizhou City arrested Mr. Pan Yujun, Mr. Sun Shouyu, and many other Falun Gong practitioners. The police agents took them to Dianzi Forced Brainwashing Centre. Mr. Sun Shouyu escaped the following day but he was rendered homeless. The other practitioners were transferred to Laizhou Detention Centre. They began a hunger strike and suffered brutal force-feeding, administered by the prison doctor. -
Dafa Practitioners Arrested in Nanchang City in March 2006 Were Severely Tortured
2006-07-24The director of Daishan Police Sub-Station ordered police to persecute Ms Zhang Shujun. Each of them pulled one of her legs apart 180 degrees, then they fiercely pushed and pulled them apart and shook them back and forth. Her lower back was broken due to the violent shaking. She was persecuted for six consecutive hours, and was not allowed to close her eyes for even one second during the torture. If she did, the police ordered the lookout patrols to brutally beat her again. Policeman Deng Xiangyang pounded her toes using the stool legs. Her toes were crushed and covered with blood. -
Qingdao Judge Liu Lin Sentences Practitioner Couple Min Huirong and Sun Hong to Prison (Photo)
2006-07-18On June 7th, 2006, Judge Liu Lin, in Licang District, Qingdao City, Shandong Province, sentenced Falun Dafa practitioners Min Huirong and Sun Hong, husband and wife, to five years in prison. The sentence was groundless even under the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) unlawful codes, and was based on fabrications. The 610 Office and the police department in Qingdao City tortured the couple physically and psychologically continuously for four months to try to force them to "confess." Their family members hired local lawyers to help them, but the 610 Office directed the police not to let the lawyers meet with them. The justice department in Qingdao City also pressured the lawyers to stop helping the couple. -
Ms. Liu Ruiqiu Arrested Again and Persecuted at the Jiangshuiquan Women’s Forced Labour Camp in Jinan, Shandong Province
2006-07-1759-year-old Ms. Liu Ruiqiu has been imprisoned several times for speaking to people about the facts of Falun Dafa. While imprisoned in the Lixia District Police Station, she was cruelly tortured by the then police station chief, Zhang Guisheng. Zhang used an electric baton to shock her around her heart for as long as half an hour. She passed out and remained unconscious through the night after the electric baton shocks. She was released after being fined 5,000 yuan a few days later. -
Ms. Chen Guihua, Mr. Zhou Yiqun and Mr. Tu Qiyao Sentenced to Lengthy Prison Terms in Sichuan Province
2006-07-17Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Chen Guihua from Chengdu City was arrested by Qingbaijiang District 610 Office agents and National Security agents because she told students, "Falun Dafa is good." During the arrest, her left arm was fractured. On the afternoon of June 21st, 2006, she was sentenced to four years in prison. Qingbai District Court charged Ms. Chen Guihua with "using [slanderous term omitted] to disrupt legal implementation." -
Details About the Persecution of Fang Xiaoping from Sichuan Province
2006-07-17Officials and officers from the local police station broke into Fang Xiaoping's home, smashing all the doors. Fang and his wife hid in the attic. The authorities smashed the door to the attic, forced their way in and dragged his wife downstairs. They handcuffed her to the table, and then they tried to arrest Fang, who had retreated to the roof of the building. Fang stayed on the roof of the building for more than ten hours. They eventually tricked him into coming down and arrested him. A lot of people witnessed what was happening and many said: "They are good people. Please release them. They have old parents and two kids. Don't arrest them." But the police simply wouldn't listen. -
Practitioner in Her 70s Receives Three-Year Prison Sentence in Chongqing City
2006-07-16On January 28th, 2005, practitioners Fan Defang and Yuan Suxian were arrested and sent to the Dadukou District Detention Centre in Chongqing City. Yuan Suxian died as a result of the persecution she faced. and On June 9th, 2006, Dadukou District Court suddenly held a hearing and sentenced 74-year-old Ms. Fan to three years in prison. -
Long’an Court in Guangxi Province Opens Unjust Trial of Practitioner Mr. Lu Chihua
2006-07-13On June 14th, 2006, the Long’an Court in Guangxi Province opened a trial of Falun Dafa practitioner Lu Chihua. Even after Mr. Lu Chihua had been detained and tortured by the police for several months, he continued to speak about the facts of Falun Dafa to the public in the court. Finally, Mr. Lu said, "I hope all present can remember that Falun Dafa is good and Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good. Every Falun Dafa practitioner wishes you a good future." Everyone listened quietly. The presiding judge said, "Thank you!" Later, he seemed to realise something and quickly said, "You dare to publicise those things to us! The court is adjourned!" -
Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Fears the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party - Falun Gong Practitioner Lu Xiangyun Sentenced to Three Years in Labour Camp
2006-07-08Falun Gong practitioner, Ms. Lu Xiangyun, over 50 years old, was recently sentenced to three years in a forced labour camp. The sentence was related to the fact that a copy of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party was found while perpetrators ransacked her home. The CCP is afraid of the wide spreading of the Nine Commentaries. Many Falun Gong practitioners were arrested only because they owned a copy of the Nine Commentaries.
