Practitioner Ms. Sun Shuqin Recounts the Persecution She Experienced at Her Workplace, in a Mental Hospital and a Brainwashing Centre - Part 2

Lead guar, Shi Fengyou, asked me, “Why did you go on a hunger strike?” I told him, “We cultivators also have our human rights protected by the constitution. I demand unconditional release. Is there something wrong with using a hunger strike to protest the violation of my human rights?” He said, “Forget about it. No one has been released from the forced labour camp using a hunger strike. We have many methods to deal with hunger strikes.” They forced a feeding tube into my stomach. The tube they used was a thick and hard plastic tube. They force-fed me corn paste. Once the corn paste entered my stomach, I suddenly felt cold, and a tightening in my chest, then my heart started beating crazily and my body became very hot. I could barely breathe. I felt as if I was suffocating to death. Obviously, they had added something to the corn paste that caused these symptoms. -
Practitioners Tortured with "Stretch Torture Chamber" at Weiningying Forced Labour Camp in Liaoning Province
2007-04-07Since the persecution began on July 20th, 1999, about 1,000 Falun Dafa practitioners have been detained in Weiningying Forced Labour Camp. From 2005 to 2006, a special building was built to persecute practitioners, and thousands upon thousands of yuan went towards persecuting Falun Gong. Now about 18 to 19 practitioners are detained there and are monitored every day. The guards refuse to allow family members to meet with the steadfast practitioners. Heavy labour and starvation, plus torture, make it feel as though one day is one year. There is a small solitary cell called the "Stretch Torture Chamber," used to torture practitioners who have not been "transformed." One practitioner was stretched for over 100 days, and his face was swollen very large. When released, he was close to death and so was sent away. -
Persecution of Falun Gong Practitioners in Xinhua Forced Labour Camp, Mianyang City, Sichuan Province
2007-04-07Dafa practitioner Mr. Lu Chunbin, is in his forties. He has been arrested and detained in Xinhua Forced Labour Camp twice and the second time, he was fired from his job. During the long period that he has been detained, Mr. Lu firmly resisted the persecution. He uses all kinds of opportunities to inform the criminal prisoners who monitor him about the true nature of Falun Gong, teaches them the principles of proper conduct, and answers their questions about different aspects of life. The criminal prisoners have come to truly respect and admire Lu Chunbin. He has been tied up, hung up with his arms behind his back, and brutally beaten. However, none of the methods and tactics used have worked against him. Thus, he was put in isolation and was detained there alone for a long time. -
Exposing the Hebei Province 610 Office's Strong-Arm Tactics As Seen Through the Suffering of Mr. Cao Jiwei and Family

On February 21st, 2007, Falun Dafa practitioners Mr. Cao Jiwei and Li Zhenfang, who were already destitute and homeless because of the persecution, were arrested by police and taken to Loucun Township Police Station. Police beat them, searched their belongings, confiscated Dafa materials along with personal belongings and 5,800 yuan. Wang Jinshi, the vice director of the police station, dragged Mr. Cao by his hair and slapped his face hard, kicked his chest, tied a rope around his neck and stepped hard on his hands. -
Mr. Jin Chengshan with Paraplegia and His Wife Severely Persecuted in Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province, Nearly Fifty Relatives File Appeal
2007-04-05Practitioners Mr. Jin Chengshan and Ms. Jiao Xiaohua are a married couple. They and two other practitioners were arrested by the Hulan District police on December 22nd, 2006. Later, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Hulan District Procuratorate Department and Court sentenced them. Mr. Jin Chengshan has severe paraplegia, and his health further deteriorated after the arrest because of the persecution he was subjected to. Nearly 50 relatives of Mr. Jin and Ms. Jiao have recently filed a lawsuit seeking justice against those who persecuted this couple. -

2007-04-05I went to the Beijing Appeal Office in October 1999 to inform people about the true nature of Falun Gong. I was stopped and asked if I was a Falun Gong practitioner and where I was from. I answered honestly so I was arrested. My mother received a phone call from my bank, asking me to write a statement promising to no longer practise Falun Gong. I refused to do so. At that time, there were many cases of arrests and layoffs of Falun Gong practitioners. Someone suggested getting a mental illness statement for me to save my job. The doctor at the hospital declared that I had “paranoid schizophrenia,” basing his findings on the fact that I would rather give up my job than promise not to practise Falun Gong. I went on a hunger strike to protest. The doctors inserted a feeding tube into my stomach to force-feed me with food and medicine. -
Laishui County in Hebei Province Police Arrest Falun Gong Practitioners Cao Jiwei and Li Zhenfang
2007-04-05On January 4th, 2007, families were gathered together in celebration of the New Year, but Falun Dafa practitioners Cao Jiwei and Li Zhenfang, who were homeless due to persecution by the Laishui County 610 Office, were stopped and searched on the road. The officers beat them to the ground, took their Dafa materials and personal property worth about 3,000 yuan, along with 5,800 yuan in cash. At the police station police shocked Cao Jiwei with electric batons. Blue flames flashed as the strong electrical current burned his body again and again. Cao Jiwei had burns, bruises and other wounds all over his body. His eyes were black and blue, and so swollen he could barely open them. Li Zhenfang was persecuted to the brink of death and was rendered unconscious. -
Practitioner Ma Jian Arrested and Tortured in Brainwashing Centre
2007-04-04On February 28th, Police arrested Beijing Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Ma Jian against his will. His whereabouts remained unknown until recently. The police sent him to a brainwashing centre and tortured him for 20 days. Mr. Ma Jian was the general manager in charge of Chinese and North Asian business for the PCM Company in France. The PCM Company in France wrote a letter to the Beijing Police Department through the French Embassy in Beijing and enquired why Ma Jian was arrested, but they did not receive any response. -
Ms. Meng Hulun and Ms. Jia Haiying Brutalised in an Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Forced Labour Camp
2007-04-04Falun Dafa practitioners Ms. Meng Hulun and Ms. Jia Haiying have been brutally tortured during their recent imprisonment because of informing people about the true nature of Falun Dafa. Currently, Ms. Meng Hulun and Ms. Jia Haiying are being held separately in the camp. Their health has seriously deteriorated over the last few weeks. Ms. Meng Hulun has been tortured so much that she frequently shakes with fear, has convulsions, and faints. Ms. Jia Haiying was bedridden from February 9th to 24th, 2007, with heavy bleeding. She can no longer walk on her own. -
My Experience of Being Persecuted at a Rehabilitation Centre and Forced Labour Camp in Heilongjiang Province
2007-04-04In November 2002, the authorities carried out an attempt to "reform" practitioners. It was extremely cold in winter in Northeast China. The guards ordered us to strip down to our pyjamas. All the windows were opened, and the piercing wind blew in. The guards couldn't help shivering in their overcoats. We were then forced to squat barefoot in the freezing cold, trembling all over. Some of us were chained to the ground with fixed cuffs. The guards put basins of cold water under our buttocks. Each guard also carried an electric baton and continuously applied shocks to practitioners. The crackling sound from the electric batons never stopped, and the strong smell of burning skin permeated the air. Some guards let out wild, evil bursts of laughter while swearing at Dafa nonstop. -
An Appeal to International Human Rights Organisations: Please Help Rescue My Husband, Yang Jianpo
2007-04-04I'm calling on the world's people to help my husband, Yang Jianpo, who has been tortured and who has been on a hunger strike for more than 400 days at Hebei Jidong Prison. He is now in critical condition and on life support. In Wanzhuang Forced Labour Camp, he was forced into heavy labour and worked 20 hours daily. He was beaten with wooden sticks. In Gaoyang Forced Labour Camp, he was handcuffed to an iron ring on the ground outdoors. He suffered blazing sunlight during the day and mosquito bites at night. The guards inserted an electric baton into his mouth to shock him. They did not release him after he had served his sentence. He went on a hunger strike for 60 days. Eventually, he was released, but not before he was at death's door. -
Ms. Han Wenmin from Tianjin Sentenced to Forced Labour; Daughter Close to Giving Birth Denied Justice
2007-04-02Since the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started persecuting Falun Dafa practitioners in 1999, the officials and police frequently harassed practitioner Ms. Han Wenmin. Ms. Han firmly persisted in her belief and refused to cooperate with the officials. She was sentenced to three years of forced labour. She was later sentenced to forced labour for a second time and is currently held at the Tianjin Women's Labour Camp. Han Wenmin's pregnant daughter made numerous trips to the Tianjin Women's Labour Camp in the second half of 2006 and requested her mother's release. The camp officials refused to release her. -
The Persecution at Kaiping Women's Forced Labour Camp in Tangshan City, Hebei Province
2007-04-02I am a Falun Gong practitioner and I was arrested by the police and sentenced to three years forced labour. To protest the unjust persecution I started a hunger strike. Six days after I started the hunger strike, I was force-fed with heavily salted water. Every time they did it, I threw up. It was so salty and painful. On the ninth day, I was force-fed twice and threw it all up. After I threw up the first time, Yan Hongli said "It doesn't matter if you do it again, the camp has enough salt for you!" and she told a criminal prisoner to seal my mouth with her hand. But after the next force feeding, the brine still came out from between her fingers. They were scared and kept far away, and didn't try it again until my lips turned black and my face turned pale. -
A Practitioner Recounts the Brutal Persecution by Police in Shenqiu County, Henan Province
2007-04-02On October 12th, 2000, police arrested me because I would not give up practising Falun Dafa. The police head, Lu Feng, ordered me to write a "Repentance Statement." I refused to write the "Repentance Statement," so they sent me to the detention centre. During the interrogation, Lu Feng brutally tortured me and dispatched someone to monitor me. He forbade me from sleeping. The police called this torture the "enduring eagle." After a long time of torture, one's mental state collapses, and feels worse than death. The police saw me reciting Dafa articles and added a shackle weighing 19 kilogrammes (42 lb.) on me. I wore it for one month. This is the heaviest shackle in the jail, usually put on criminals to be executed. When I once spoke to another practitioner, they added another handcuff to the shackle. Beating practitioners is common in jail. -
Exposing the Persecution in the Xinhua Forced Labour Camp in Sichuan Province
2007-04-01The police hate the firm and resolute practitioners. The police adopted various torture methods like chopping at the face with iron spikes or pen tips, forcing practitioners to kneel down, spitting at them, hitting their faces, burning, handcuffing, and tying them up, hitting practitioners with a spiked baton, and shocking them with an electric baton. The chief of the prison, Su Xin, policemen Zhang Xiaoming, Pu Jing and Shen Rui were the vanguard of persecution. They abused the practitioners and declared, "I am beating you, but so what? The more you appeal, the higher will be my post and my salary."
