Details of Torture Methods Used On Falun Gong Practitioners in Shanghai Women's Forced Labour Camp

A very common torture includes sitting on a hard bench over a long period of time. As long as practitioners are blamed for violating the so-called division rules, they have to suffer this type of torture. One practitioner, about 35 years old, had been forced to sit on the bench on the fourth floor for a very long time. She had to maintain a 90-degree angle between her body and legs, and was forced to sit this way from 5:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. daily. Although deprived of all her basic rights, the guards failed to force her give up her belief in Dafa. Hence, she was able to leave the forced labour camp in the end without compromising with the authorities. -
610 Office Sentences Xiangtan City Practitioner Mr. Huang Deming to Forced Labour
2007-01-07On the evening of November 7th, 2006, Falun Dafa practitioners Mr. Huang Deming and Ms. Luo Jinxiu, from were both arrested by local police while distributing leaflets exposing the persecution. The Xiangtan City 610 Office had Mr. Huang Deming sentenced to one year of forced labour on December 10th, 2006, and he was taken to the Xinkaipu Labour Camp in Changsha City. Another female Falun Dafa practitioner, name unknown, was sent to the Changsha City Women's Prison. -
Everyone in My Family Was Persecuted
2007-01-04My father unfurled a banner at Tiananmen Square to appeal for justice for Falun Dafa and suffered a brutal beating by the police on the square. Though he was injured and in pain, the guards still ordered prisoners to watch him and not let him practise the exercises. They forced him to sit on a wooden board all day and memorise prison rules, and they beat him if he did not remember them correctly. After three months of detention, his healthy body reverted to the illnesses he had before practising Dafa. He had difficulty urinating and his body was covered with extremely itchy and painful scabies. It wasn't until my father was at his last gasp that the police allowed him to go home with my mother. He passed away on May 8th, 2001. -
Liu Guifu Shares His Experience of Being Persecuted
2007-01-04I was being tortured by an official when the wife of one of the persecutors called, wanting him to rush home. The pitiful thing is that the husband said to his wife over the phone, "We are 'interrogating' a Falun Gong practitioner and he won't give in. If you don't believe it, listen." Then he turned his mobile phone in order for his wife to listen to my horrifying cries. They committed evil deeds and they wanted to have their family members involved. They treated the horrifying cries of Dafa practitioners as beautiful music. The more pitiful thing is that the female police officers, who didn't have any sympathy, said in a sarcastic way, "Everyone says that Falun Gong practitioners are not afraid of death. Today we have truly seen that. It is so true." -
The Brutal Persecution of Falun Gong Practitioners in Jiangsu Province
2007-01-02Chinese law states that labour camp detainees should not work for more than six hours a day, and they should not do heavy labour. At Fangqiang Labour Camp, however, Falun Gong practitioners sometimes are forced to work for more than 12 hours a day in the field and for 14 or 16 hours a day at the sewing workshop of Division 1 and Division 4. When cleaning the latrine pits, other detainees are allowed to use a pole to carry barrels of faeces, while Falun Gong practitioners are forced to carry the barrel in their arms. The faeces often spill all over their faces and clothes. The guards do not even spare older Falun Gong practitioners. A 68-year-old practitioner was forced to remove his shoes and socks, and clean the sewage ditch while standing in freezing water. -
Practitioners Arrested and Killed by 610 Office Agents in Liaoyuan City, Liaoning Province
2007-01-01The police team members told the 610 Office, the National Security Team, and their supervisors at the police station that these practitioners were a "gang of anti-revolutionaries." They confiscated assets worth 10,000 yuan, but reported them as 20,000 to 30,000 yuan to the provincial level government. The assets actually worth between 20,000 yuan and 30,000 yuan were reported at an inflated value of 50,000 to 60,000 yuan. The State Security Department urged them to conclude the case within a certain period of time after learning of this case. The provincial government attached a great deal of importance to this case, and asked Pi to report to them about the case every other day. -
Police in Zhoukou City, Henan Province Have Persecuted Me Since 1999
2007-01-01On October 3rd, 2000, I went to Beijing to appeal. At the Beijing train station, I was arrested and taken to the police department. Gao Feng and other officers, as well as Deputy Minister of the Zhoukou Department of Culture Gao Zhenhuan, Curator of the Cultural Centre Zhao Guangzun, and Liu Xinping tortured me. Gao Feng grabbed me by my collar and shouted, "I will beat you to death. Even if I beat you to death, I still will not feel that I have vented my anger." As he shouted, he hit my head against the wall and attempted to force me to remain kneeling for five hours. I firmly refused to kneel down. In addition, 9,000 yuan was extorted from me. -
Ms. Sun Yanfang, a Teacher in Acheng City, Heilongjiang Province, Imprisoned
2006-12-31Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Sun Yanfang, a teacher, has been imprisoned many times for practising Falun Dafa. In September 2006, when she went to the 610 Office to file a complaint, she was arrested and detained in Acheng City's First Detention Centre, where she was terribly tortured and placed in handcuffs and shackles. Therefore, she went on a hunger strike shouting, "Falun Dafa is good!" Acheng City Hospital sent over a team of medical personnel and monitors to force-feed Ms. Sun Yanfang causing her to become extremely skinny. On November 21st, Sun Yanfang received the Court's judgement: a three-year term of imprisonment. -
Older Ms. Xiao Huiqing Taken to a Brainwashing Session After Three Years in a Forced Labour Camp
2006-12-31Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Xiao Huiqing, in her fifties, is an elementary school teacher. On November 28th, 2003, she gave one of her students a leaflet exposing the persecution. She was reported and sentenced to three years of forced labour. Her term ended on November 28th, 2006, but officials to the Erequan Brainwashing Session. -
Ms. Song Ping from Shenzhen Imprisoned Again After Serving Unjust Five-year Sentence
2006-12-30On October 30th, in order to find a job in Shenzhen, practitioner Ms. Song Ping, who had been imprisoned for five years went to the local police station to obtain an ID. The police arrested her. It is believed that Ms. Song is now being held in the Shenzhen Brainwashing Centre. In June 2001, because Ms. Song distributed leaflets exposing the persecution in Nanjing, she had been arrested and sentenced to five years in prison. She was released in July 2006. -
Persecution of Practitioner Ms. Wang Bing at Heizuizi Forced Labour Camp in Changchun City
2006-12-29Seven police people broke into Ms. Wang Bing’s home and ransacked it. They took mobile phones, computers and other things worth about 10,000 yuan. They sent both practitioners to Heizuizi Forced Labour Camp on April 30th, 2006. Ms. Wang went on a hunger strike to protest the detention and was force-fed many times, which caused severe stomach injury and profuse bleeding. Her life was in danger, and she was sent to the Jilin Province Prison Hospital. -
Practitioner Ms. Chen Yachun Arrested by Public Security Bureau in Beizhen, Liaoning Province
2006-12-29On the evening of October 25th, 2006, Ms. Chen was suddenly arrested for practising Falun Dafa by local police. Later, Ms. Chen's family repeatedly went to the local police station to request her release but they were not allowed to even visit her. On November 2nd, Ms. Chen Yachun's mother went to the police station to speak out for justice. Not only did the police refuse to listen to her, they also locked her in a room, forbade her from speaking, and kicked and punched her. -
Ms. Lu Zhongqin, 56, from Heilongjiang Province Recounts the Persecution She Suffered
2006-12-28In order to awaken the local police and officials, I wrote and mailed letters to explain the facts about Falun Dafa to them. Police came to my family-run restaurant to check my handwriting to determine if the letters sent to them were from me. My home phone was tapped and I was monitored. I was asked to sign in with them every day. I refused, and the local police rushed to my restaurant to harass me. One policeman said, "If you don't listen to me, we'll arrest you." My whole family was made to live in fear and couldn't even sleep well. -
Ms. Bai Jialing on a Hunger Strike to Protest Inhuman Torture in Shibalihe Forced Labour Camp in Henan Province
2006-12-28On April 21st, 2006, Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Bai Jialing was arrested and taken to the police station. She was beaten and so she went on a hunger strike. On April 30th she was taken to Henan Province Shibalihe Forced Labour Camp. The guards dragged her many times, stripped her, and then videotaped her to insult her. The guards also instructed drug addicted prisoners to closely monitor her 24 hours per day. In order to stop their inhuman torture, Ms. Bai Jialing has gone on hunger strikes many times. -
Lawless 610 Office Agent Su Yizhao Persecutes Practitioners in Chongqing City
2006-12-28According to a reliable internal source, Su Yizhao (male) from Division 1 of Chongqing City Police Department, who also works at the Chongqing City 610 Office, has been actively persecuting practitioners by participating in arrests, tortures and issuing heavy sentences to Falun Gong practitioners.
