We had only one thought as long as we are righteous, what we say counts when the critical moment comes. There was one hour left before the appeal activity got started; and it was then that we got the call about the approval of our activity from the relevant department.
We thus brought the five new banners hurriedly made the night before reading, Give freedom back to Lin Wenrong in Dusseldorf, Chinese artists in Germany are facing danger, Protest against the genocide against Falun Gong, Stop the crimes against Human Rights, and Rescue our good friend, Liu Hong-Bo, sentenced to jail for 10 years for wanting to be a good person. Some other banners displayed near the Parliament Building were, Please support us in rescuing our friends and family, Appeal to all governments and media to stop the terrorism in China, The world needs Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance, Falun Dafa, etc.
The banners were pretty eye-catching. There were big photos (80x140cm) of the student Lin Wenrong, who studies in Germany but was recently arrested in Wuhan whilst visiting her family, because she practises Falun Gong. There were also photos of German practitioners' persecuted friends and family members, together with a brief introduction on the present persecution. This attracted many passers-by to stop and read the details. These big posters with photos and descriptions were also to be displayed in the parade and appeal activities taking place in different German cities next week.
The evil forces and evil persecutors are very afraid of our appeals and any other activities that expose their crimes in persecuting innocent Falun Gong practitioners. We were not deterred by the strong winds and rain. We continued to expose the wicked deeds of the Jiang regime. We utilised this opportunity to demonstrate our hearts and overcome any difficulty. The rain stopped and it actually turned sunny. We continued the signature collecting with help from the German public who collected signatures from their acquaintances and friends.
The police told us that it was the first sitting of the German Parliament that day, which we were unaware of. We had only one hope: to appeal to the German Parliament to vote for a resolution, like that in Canada and the U.S.A., to stop Mainland China from persecuting innocent Falun Gong practitioners.
The site of the signature collecting is where all Parliament members cars had to pass by. Many people not only signed their names but also requested an additional petition form to take home. There were even more who said theyd first have an understanding and read the materials before they would ask their families and friends to sign the petition. Few of those who listened seriously to the truth refused to sign their names. They also promised to spread the facts of the persecution to all their friends and contacts.
