Forced Brainwashing Leads to Death of Female Practitioner at Shijiazhuang City Forced Labour Camp

33-year-old Dafa practitioner Ms Xue Xia, lived in Xingtai City, Hebei Province. On February 21, 2003, she was cruelly tortured to death in Shjiazhuang City Forced Labour Camp.

Xue Xia went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong on January 1, 2000 and was illegally sentenced to three years of forced labour at Shijiazhuang Labour Camp where she was brutally beaten and was force-fed a so-called "brainwashing pill." After taking the vile pill, she had allergic reactions, including diarrhoea and vomiting. Later, she became unconscious. Seeing she was on the verge of death, in May 2001, the thugs at the labour camp released Xue Xia on medical bail. After she returned to Xingtai City, she was diagnosed with a diminished brain capacity at Xingtai City People's Hospital. The doctor said this type of brain illness only happens to elderly people. She spent more than 10,000 Yuan, all her own money on medical treatment. Later, her mother took her home and read the Fa [referring to Falun Dafa books and articles] to her everyday, and Xue Xia gradually recovered and could take care of herself. Her neighbours witnessed this wonderful change. During this period, vicious police from South Xinhua Road Police Station broke into her mother's home. They stole Falun Gong books and the picture of Mr. Li Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Gong. On September 27, 2002, the head and two clerks from Meishi Street Committee led five female guards from Shijiazhuang Forced Labour Camp to Xue Xia's mother's home. They kidnapped her mother and daughter and stole two copies of Zhuan Falun [the main text of Falun Dafa], a tape recorder and a set of cassettes.

Soon after she was sent to the labour camp, Xue Xia was forcibly brainwashed. On November 15, 2002, Xue Xia had a relapse and became unconscious. She was on her last breath. On January 4, 2003, she was sent back to Xingtai City for medical treatment and her life depended on transfusions and oxygen therapy. She passed away in the afternoon of February 21, 2003.

This is the result of Jiang criminal group's brutal persecution against Dafa practitioners. Many people at the hospital and the labour camp witnessed this atrocity. International organisations: please uphold justice and amend the gross wrongdoings done to all practitioners who were persecuted to death and their family members.
