Switzerland: People from All Walks of Life Sign Petition Condemning Forced Organ Harvesting in China

Falun Gong practitioners in Switzerland held a signature drive in the city of Winterthur on September 14, 2013, to call for an end to the Chinese Communist Party's atrocious crime of organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners.

The practitioners set up large informational display boards, handed out fliers, and shared the goodness of Falun Gong with the passersby.

"This is really too much! How could such a thing exist?" said teenagers Noelle and Simone, after seeing photos of Falun Gong practitioners tortured in China for their peaceful spiritual faith.

After signing the petition, Noelle said emotionally: “What the Chinese regime is doing is not right. Everyone has the right to live. This is about human rights, regardless of whether a person lives in China or Switzerland. We must stop this persecution. I hope more people will sign the petition to help stop the persecution as soon as possible.”

“I signed the petition because we are all human beings,” explained Simone. “We cannot kill others out of our own self-interests, or for profit. This is twisted. We must stop all of this. I think what you practitioners are doing is great!”

Many passersby were hopeful that their signatures would make a difference. Some people signed the petition and then called their friends and family over to sign, too.

Upon signing the petition, one woman asked for some fliers about organ harvesting and a few blank petition forms. “I want to help you collect more signatures,” she said. “The fact that you are making this information available to the general public is very good. It allows more people to know about the situation and to take a stand.”

“This persecution is taking place in China, so what can people in Switzerland do about it?” asked Marta, a local resident.

“The signatures that we collect from around the world will be sent to the United Nations,” explained a practitioner. “We are calling on the UN to intercede to help stop the CCP's brutal persecution of Falun Gong in China."

“China's entire state apparatus--including the army, police, prisons, hospitals, and the entire court system--is actively involved in the lucrative practice of live organ harvesting,” added the practitioner.

Marta happily added her name to the petition and then asked for a few blank forms, hoping to collect more signatures from her circle of friends.

“The Communist Party has no regard for human life. To snatch people’s organs against their will, and for profit, will never do!” she said.

“I had heard about Falun Gong before,” Marta explained, "but I didn't know they [practitioners in China] were being treated like this. Nobody should be persecuted, let alone have their organs stolen from them while they're alive!”
