For example, one man who made his living by gambling said very candidly on TV that he practised Falun Gong.
Someone named Du San, whose wife died 7 years ago, said that his whole family practises Falun Gong and that his wife died from the practice.
After Du San lied on TV, he rode to a friend's house on his bike but fell accidentally on the way there. He landed so hard that two of his teeth were knocked out. Afterwards, his friends said, "Why did you do something so bad? Isn't this immediate karmic retribution?"
[Karmic retribution is a traditional Chinese principle, which states that good deeds are rewarded and bad deeds punished. It is still widely believed in many parts of China.]
