Connie Brix went to Spain for a holiday on February 18, 2020. At the time, Spain was still allowing carnivals, unaware of the risks posed by the spread of the Wuhan coronavirus. Connie attended carnival parades in two different cities in Spain.
On February 20, she started coughing.
After she returned to her home in Denmark in the central area of the Jutland peninsula on February 26, her cough worsened and she developed a fever, tightness in her chest, and difficulty breathing. She also lost her sense of taste.
Connie went to the hospital, where X-rays showed she had inflammation in her lungs. She was given penicillin, but her condition deteriorated. She felt as if she was going to die from suffocation. She was incredibly uncomfortable and felt helpless. Doctors subsequently gave her steroids, hoping to alleviate the inflammation in her lungs and improve her breathing.
Connie's brother practices Falun Dafa. When he learned about her condition, he suspected coronavirus. He told her how the Chinese communist regime had covered up the number of infections and deaths in China and, leading to a pandemic in Italy, Spain, and many other countries around the world. He went on to explain the regime’s pattern of disregarding human life during the Cultural Revolution, the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners, and its trading of organs from prisoners of conscience.
Having learned the nature of the Chinese Communist Party, she condemned its heinous crimes against humanity and said the CCP cannot be pardoned for what it has done.
Her brother asked her if she remembered watching Shen Yun and seeing a program about Falun Dafa. She said she remembered the piece. She followed her brother's advice and started to recite “Falun Dafa is good.”
Two days later, Connie felt much better, and she could breathe normally. She had only a slight cough and felt that she had made it through. Her brother told her it was because she realized how bad the CCP was and she chose to stay away from it. She smiled and expressed gratitude for the blessings she received as a result.
