France: Falun Gong Practitioners Hold Online Experience Sharing Conference

Falun Dafa practitioners in France held their 2020 Cultivation Experience Sharing Conference online on May 10. France, like many countries around the world, is under lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The conference included practitioners in France and surrounding countries including Germany, Finland, Poland, Sweden, Switzerland and Tunisia. Twenty-three practitioners shared their experiences about removing their attachments and improving their xinxing.

The experience sharing papers presented at the conference gave witness to how Falun Gong practitioners in France follow Master Li’s teachings, validate Dafa in all walks of life, and save sentient beings.

Raising Awareness About the Infiltration of the Spectre of Communism
Laurent Joigne is a teacher. He shared about participating in the translation of the book How the Spectre of Communism Is Ruling Our World by the editorial team of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. Mr. Joigne gained a deeper understanding of communism from working on the translation.

Joigne said that most of his colleagues are liberals. “When we have lunch in the dining hall and talk about current affairs and communism, I know how to present my views with a correct line of reasoning based on the content of my translation work,” he said.

“I often cite details and examples described in the How the Spectre of Communism Is Ruling Our World. My colleagues are generally left speechless,” he said.

Mr. Joigne also exposes the evil nature of communism in his classes and through talking with colleagues. He said he introduces Falun Gong rationally to his students.

Raising Awareness During Lockdown
Ms. Chen used to clarify the truth to Chinese tourists at scenic sites. She shared how she has changed her audience for truth clarification from tourists in France to people in China during the lockdown.

“The environment has changed but my determination remains the same,” she said. She has been calling police officers in China who have participated in the persecution of Falun Gong.

“These people face grave danger if we don’t clarify the truth to them,” she said, “because they have committed many wrongdoings in the persecution and will face retribution.”

Ms. Chen has been making 20 to 30 phone calls a day. No matter the attitude of the police, she maintains her compassion as she talks with them. She remembers Master Li’s teaching:

“Just do whatever you should with compassion, regardless of whether they're receptive or not. Compassion comes from a person's cultivation, and it's not something that's acted out; it comes from deep inside, and it's not something done to show others. It's something that exists eternally, and it doesn't change with the passage of time or changes in circumstances.” (“Teaching the Fa at the 2003 Washington DC Fa Conference” in Collected Fa Teachings, Vol. IV)

The conference lasted eight hours. Many attendees said that the online gathering played a positive role in enhancing understanding between practitioners. They expressed that they would be more diligent in cultivation and do well in raising awareness about Falun Gong and the persecution.
