Finland: Practitioners Celebrate World Falun Dafa Day

May 13, 2021 is World Falun Dafa Day, the 29th anniversary of Falun Dafa’s public introduction, and the 70th birthday of its founder, Mr. Li Hongzhi. Falun Gong practitioners in Finland celebrated this occasion on Saturday, May 8, 2021 in the square of Kamppi shopping center in Helsinki.

Falun Gong practitioners in Finland wish Master Li a happy birthday. Falun Gong practitioners do the exercises.

At the event, Falun Gong practitioners played guitar, Chinese musical instruments, sang songs, and did the Dafa exercises. The event attracted the attention of passersby, and many people signed the petition calling for an end to the persecution at the information desk.

People Support Falun Gong: We Cherish What You Are Doing
Entrepreneur Tomi, who has always supported human rights in China, said, “I hope the world becomes a better place. The persecution of Falun Gong is a severe matter. It’s a pity that the mainstream media does not report the truth.”

Tomi also explained the facts of Falun Gong to his friend, who had not heard about the evil crimes of harvesting Falun Gong practitioners’ organs conducted by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). After Tomi explained the facts, his friend said, “What an evil thing. Everyone has the right to live. This kind of evil thing simply should not happen.” Tomi said, “But it happened, and it has continued to this day.” Tomi also said to Falun Gong practitioners, “We were just talking that we were too comfortable. We could not imagine other people are suffering something as evil as the persecution.”

Tomi and his friend expressed their gratitude before they left, “Your efforts are greatly appreciated, and we cherish what you do. We wish you all the best.”

People signed the petition calling for an end to the persecution.

Four students, Sara, Andzelika, Annika, and Alex, also signed the petition. They learned about the facts and went back to ask their friends to also sign the petition. Annika said, “Everyone has the right to their own belief, and the freedom of belief is the most basic right of a human being.” “How bad it is that in China, people don’t have the right to choose their own way of life.” They said, “Falun Gong practitioners should have the freedom of belief.”

Tung, a woman from Outer Mongolia, said after signing the petition, “The Chinese Communist Party has never changed. I hope our signatures can help you.” After she signed, she happened to see one of her friends from a distance, and asked her friend to also sign the petition.

Eila said, “I am retired, and I saw your exercises in the park before. I read your brochures and have been following your news. I will sign the petition to support you.” She took a strong interest in the meditation and asked, “How long does this meditation take? They look so relaxed. Why are the men’s movement different from the women’s?” She became more interested when the practitioners explained more to her and said she would learn the exercise.

Tuija, an entrepreneur, said, “As human beings, we should know what’s happening in the world. [Forced organ harvesting from people who are still alive] is too evil. I will do my best to help stop the persecution. The whole society should raise awareness of this evil deed. We can’t let something like this happen.”

Western Participant: Thanking Master for Guiding Me to Practice Falun Dafa
Western practitioner Ilmari introduced the facts of Falun Dafa at the celebration.

Ilmari spoke about the facts of Falun Dafa.

At the event, Ilmari also shared his feelings, “I am very happy to be here and join the celebration of World Falun Dafa Day! I thank Master for guiding me to practice Falun Dafa. I also thank all the Falun Gong practitioners in Finland, and we all support each other.” Speaking about the CCP’s brutal persecution of Falun Gong, he said, “What we are doing is to make more people aware of the CCP’s persecution of Falun Gong. These persecutors are very dangerous because they are opposed to the universal values of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.”

Young Practitioner: The Principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance Has Taken Root in My Heart
Ann is a young practitioner whose parents are both Falun Dafa practitioners. She said, “I grew up practicing Dafa. When I was young, I didn’t cultivate sincerely, but the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance have taken root in my heart. At school, I was kind to people and got along well with my classmates, and my teachers and classmates liked me very much.”

Ann shared some little stories, “Once I woke up in the morning with a high fever. I listened to Master’s lectures. The fever was gone after a couple of hours.”

Ann also shared her experiences of how Dafa unlocked her wisdom. In her high school, she always went home to study the Fa when her classmates stayed at school to study. She easily got good grades on the midterm exams, and ranked first in one subject.

Ann said, “After I came here, however, I slacked off in my cultivation and indulged in playing with my phone all the time. One day I was suddenly alerted when I realized I had a health problem. I decided to cultivate diligently again. I no longer play with my cell phone.”

On the occasion of World Falun Dafa Day, Ann sincerely thanked Master Li Hongzhi, “Master has been watching over me when I was slacking off. After I followed the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, I felt more relaxed and incomparably happier, physically and mentally. I would like to wish our compassionate and great Master a happy 70th birthday!”

A Note on Forced Organ Harvesting Under the CCP Regime
Reports from witnesses and Chinese physicians reveal that large numbers of Falun Gong practitioners in prisons and other detention facilities have been killed for their organs, which are sold and transplanted for profit in state and military hospitals. Further information is available here.
