Sweden: Falun Dafa Practitioners in Gothenburg Celebrate Falun Dafa Day at Botanical Garden

Falun Dafa practitioners celebrated World Falun Dafa Day on Thursday, May 13, at the Gothenburg Botanical Garden to show people how beautiful and wonderful the practice is. Falun Dafa has been practiced in Gothenburg since the spring of 1995. We feel so honored that Master Li Hongzhi, Falun Dafa’s founder, came to Gothenburg on Easter in 1995 to teach the Fa.

Falun Gong practitioners from Gothenburg gathered at the Botanic Garden and did the five graceful exercises. The Botanical Garden in Gothenburg is one of Europe’s largest botanical gardens. The 13th of May this year was also a bank holiday in Sweden so there were many visitors in the park.

It was a sunny afternoon and there were many passersby. We distributed informational materials about Falun Dafa and where the practice sites in Gothenburg are located. Many showed great interest and wanted to come learn the exercises at the practice sites. Many people who stopped by said how peaceful it was when we demonstrated the exercises.

We also distributed handmade paper lotus flowers that were very much appreciated, especially among the children. A younger woman with her mother spoke with a practitioner for a long time and learned about the health benefits of the practice. They thought that it was very important during this time and wanted to read the books about Falun Dafa.
