May 13, 2022, was the 23rd anniversary of World Falun Dafa Day. Falun Dafa practitioners set up an information booth in front the Austrian government offices on Herrengasse Street in Graz. They talked about Falun Dafa and its benefits, while also raising awareness of the ongoing persecution of the practice in China.
Some watched practitioners demonstrate the exercises, while others learned more about the ongoing persecution. Many signed the petition calling for an end to the persecution after learning about the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) organ harvesting from living Falun Gong, also called Falun Dafa, practitioners.
A German woman, a tourist, signed the petition calling for an end to the persecution, and said, “I’ve heard about this persecution many times. It is horrible and brutal.” A practitioner told her more about the situation in China and the German woman said, “The people are awakening.”
A practitioner clarified the truth to a woman who stopped at the practitioners' information booth. Upon learning of the persecution, the woman signed the petition calling for an end to the atrocities.
A young woman was interested in the practice and said she’d like to join the local practice site.
A group of young people came to the information booth and learned about Falun Dafa. They signed the petition and one of them asked many questions about the persecution. He said, “Thank you very much for doing this.”
A woman with three children condemned the CCP’s organ harvesting from living practitioners and learned about the crimes committed by the CCP in detail. She said, “You know, I’d often pray to God. I asked God how the world can be a better place a couple of days ago. Now I know what I should do. I will pray for the persecuted Chinese people.”
Thirty years ago, on May 13, 1992, Falun Dafa had first gone public and was first spread by Master Li Hongzhi in China. Falun Dafa is now practiced in over 100 countries and its main book, Zhuan Falun, has been translated into over 40 different languages.
