France: Clarifying the Truth in University and on Social Media

Respected Master! Fellow practitioners!

I am a young Chinese practitioner born in 2002. I obtained the Fa while attending university in China in 2022. After half a year of practicing Falun Dafa, I came to France for an exchange program. Here, I will share my cultivation experiences, including my pursuit of Dafa during my growth and the truth clarification efforts I engaged in at school and the "End CCP" signature collection project on Facebook.

Searching up and down and finally obtaining Dafa

Since I was a child, I have been very sensitive to the subject of death and the meaning of life. I enjoy reading classical literature, painting, listening to classical music, and pursuing higher levels and virtues in art. While studying in high school, I was baffled by the chaos in Chinese society and the evilness of the CCP. I read philosophy and sociology eagerly to seek answers. But these modern theories made me go further and further down the path of anti-tradition and anti-God. I suffered from severe depression and couldn’t find the meaning of life.

All these fruitless searches and struggles came to an end when I met a teacher who was a Dafa practitioner when I was at university. The teacher's kind words and his perseverance in the face of persecution made me understand that Falun Dafa is the truth I have been looking for. I also understood that the reason why I loved classical art before was because art truly has divine elements. In this way, at the age of 20, I found Master and knew my mission in this life—to assist Master in rectifying the Fa and saving sentient beings.

Clarifying the Truth to students at university and in various environments

After coming to France to study, I joined an international student program at a business school in a small city. There, I was the only Chinese practitioner, and there was another busy Western practitioner who was rarely available. Apart from participating in group Fa-study sessions every night, I mostly practised alone. I always kept Master's words in mind, "Dafa disciples are now the hope of salvation for the people of each region." I clarified the truth to classmates and faculty members in two languages, collected signatures for End CCP, and I practised exercises on the lawn in the college every day at lunchtime to spread the Fa. When commuting to and from university by bus, I clarified the truth to people at bus stations. I always carried truth-clarification materials and little lotus flowers with me, and did the exercises outdoors when I was not attending lectures.

Due to my recent entry into cultivation, both myself and the external energy field needed to be cleaned quickly, so the behaviour of the sentient beings around me are not good. I keep sending righteous thoughts on the hour, reciting the Fa or sending righteous thoughts in my mind while walking and eating, to eliminate thought karma and external interference. In the business class, everyone is often asked to discuss and propose business plans. As a result, often the plans proposed by my classmates are to deceive consumers. Therefore, I don't have enough compassion towards my classmates. Although I know that these precious beings risked their lives to obtain the Fa, and I also know that the performance of my classmates reflects my moral level before cultivation. I often lose compassion when I see or hear their bad behaviour and bad language, and see their strange outfits etc. Master said: "A wicked person is born of jealousy. " ("Realm”, Essentials for Further Advancement). My thoughts were manifestations of jealousy, unwholesome thoughts towards others. When I eliminate these kinds of thoughts, I see more and more kindness in my classmates, and arouse their kindness in return.

Gradually, I grew from trying to be a good person for the sake of being a good person to genuinely want to do what is good for others, and only wanting to give without expecting anything in return. In day to day life, I changed from not wanting to talk to others unless I am clarifying the truth, to having learned to take the initiative to care for others on small things. I felt that Master gradually led people with predestined relationships to me.

My classmates from various countries expressed their interest in Dafa. So, I came up with the idea to set up a Falun Dafa club in my university. However, when I sent out group exercise invitations in a large project group, not many people responded. At the same time, the school campus ended early every day, leaving little time for club activities. The heart of saving face and the pursuit of results made me hesitant. The complicated process of establishing a club also burdened me as I was busy applying for graduate programs. Fellow practitioners who studied the Fa together every night reminded me not to be attached to the number of participants - Master is in control of everything.

I remembered Master's Fa: "If there is only one person in a certain locale, then divine beings will help him succeed at his or her efforts." ("Collected Fa Teachings, Vol. XIV ", Fa Teaching at the 2016 New York Fa Conference)

Soon after, another young practitioner studying animation in Paris introduced me to a French practitioner who wanted to spread the Fa in various universities. This practitioner told me in detail how to set up a university club, and another young practitioner helped me design the logo of the club. In this way, with Master's support, I held the first exercise class at the school in the name of the Falun Dafa Association. Later, considering the complex application process for the event venue in the French business school, I changed the exercise group location to my home, and people with predestined relationships continued to come to my home to learn the exercises and read Dafa books.

Clarifying the Truth on Social Media

Shortly after arriving in France, a practitioner from the United States shared their successful experience in collecting signatures for "End CCP" on social media, specifically Facebook. Encouraged by this, I joined the online signature collection project on Facebook while managing my busy studies.

We registered virtual identities and created a Facebook page for "End CCP" signature collection in France. We added friends in various interest groups on Facebook and sent private messages to clarify the truth. At the beginning, our application for advertising the page was rejected by Facebook due to political content, so we had to promote it manually, resulting in slow growth. When I received no replies to my signature collection messages, I felt frustrated, but when I received positive responses, I shared them with joy and attachments to showing off surfaced in our project group.

Gradually, as we studied the Fa, the Fa principles guided us. I felt more capable of handling the project, and I discovered that the number of views on posts and the popularity of our account were directly related to my cultivation state and compassionate heart. It was not something that could be achieved solely by spending money for automatic promotion. The signature collection invitations sent from our virtual accounts began to receive more positive responses and encouragement, and I knew that Master was encouraging us. We successfully posted truth clarification articles in some interest groups with a large number of members, such as meditation and yoga groups. Now, my pinned post on my virtual account has received nearly 50 likes, and I receive friend requests and private messages from Westerners, people from Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, and Mainland China daily. My total number of friends has reached almost 400.

Conclusion

As a new practitioner who carries out personal cultivation and Fa-rectification at the same time, I notice that the improvement of my xinxing while doing different Dafa projects is closely related to my understanding of Fa-rectification stages. Every step I take is from the delicate and painstaking arrangement of Master. The effect of my clarifying the truth to save people became better with the letting go of impatience, showing off, jealousy, and by expanding my compassion towards others.

I am grateful to Master for the tremendous endurance and dedication for disciples. I as a disciple will always regard the Fa as my teacher, measure every small matter and subtle thought with the principles of the Fa, strive to do the three things well, and fulfil my prehistoric vows.
