Another Tragic Casualty of Persecution: Young Dafa Practitioner Dies in Pingfang Detention Centre

Mr. Yang Bin was a 26 year old Falun Gong practitioner from Heilongjiang Province. He originally worked at the Dongan Factory in the Pingfang District of Harbin City and lived in the dormitory of the Dongan Factory. He had practised Falun Gong for seven years. Because Yang Bin persisted in practising Falun Gong, he was forced to leave his home to avoid further persecution. After the 2003 Chinese Lunar New Year, he was illegally arrested and imprisoned in the detention centre of the Pingfang Public Security Bureau. Fifteen days later he was tortured to death and on March 5 2003 his body was cremated. His family has nowhere to go to appeal or seek justice for him.
