A New Spanish Practitioner sees the Magnificence of Falun Dafa

Many practitioners were fortunate enough to witness the magnificence of Falun Dafa on a trip to the European Experience Sharing Conference at Geneva in March 2003. Luis is a Spanish man who is about 27 years old. He had been studying the Fa [teachings and principles of Falun Gong] for only a month when he went to Geneva, and was still at the beginning level of practising the exercises without reading the book. Around a month before the conference, Luis’s right arm was hurt in an accident. Because the injury got worse, he had to see a doctor on 26 February, who told him that the little finger of his right hand had been fractured.

When Luis arrived at the conference in Geneva on 15 March, his right hand was encased in a plaster cast. His hand was quite swollen, and he was unable to bend or straighten his little finger. During the night, he was in so much pain that he could not sleep. His roommates, who were practitioners from Spain, Belgium, and Holland, were sympathetic to his suffering and were deeply touched by his joining the conference with such a pure heart. The weather was cold and Luis’s right hand was very cold, causing it to swell further. A female Belgian practitioner could not bear to see him suffer, so she took off her scarf and wrapped it around his right hand. Because Luis had only obtained the Fa about a month ago, he did not know the importance of studying the Fa or practising the exercises. His little finger was fractured soon after he began practising. His right hand was completely swollen and the injury was serious, so he seldom joined the group reading or exercise practice. He also knew nothing about sending forth-righteous thoughts [using upright thoughts to purify oneself and one’s surroundings].

At the Fa-conference on 16 March 2003, when all practitioners participating in the conference sent forth righteous thoughts in unison with Dafa practitioners throughout the world, Luis also erected his right hand and imitated others in sending forth righteous thoughts. When we took a break, he amazingly told me, “Look, my friend, I can straighten my little finger. It is not painful at all.” Then, he described how he learned the gesture of sending forth-righteous thoughts from the other practitioners. As a result, he found that during the process of sending forth righteous thoughts, his little finger could bend and straighten naturally; the pain and the swelling had disappeared. When he went back to the hotel that night, he removed the plaster cast and he now no longer needs it.

All Dafa practitioners in his room witnessed the magnificence of Dafa. Everyone told him that this was the power of Dafa, and advised him to be diligent in future. He immediately stated that he would study the Fa diligently and practise the exercises everyday from now on.
