Six More Deaths Added to the Blood-Debt of the Jiang Regime

On the eve of the 11th anniversary of the introduction of Falun Gong to the public, the news of another six deaths in China has surfaced. In the 11 years since it’s introduction, Falun Gong has spread throughout the world, by virtue of it’s marvellous healing effects and ability to turn people’s hearts towards goodness, attracting 100 million practitioners from all around the world. Yet, in China, those who have gained health and overcome illnesses through the practise of Falun Gong are being beaten to disability and death. Those who have learned to value the truth are being brutally persecuted for their integrity in upholding their right to practise Falun Gong. What kind of people would torture others to death simply because they had found an innocent way to become healthy and had learned to value right and wrong? None of this makes any sense – yet it is the tragic truth of a persecution lead by a regime which knows no rationality. Let us hope that the 12th anniversary is not heralded by such tragic news.

1. Ms. Xu Guiqin Died from Forced Drug Injections in the No. 1 Female Labour Camp in Shandong Province

Female Dafa practitioner Xu Guiqin was 38 years old and lived in Taian City, Shandong Province where she was an employee of the Dahe Cotton Mill.

Police illegally arrested Ms. Xu in January 2001 and sent her to the No. 1 Female Labour Camp in Jinan City, Shandong Province where she was illegally detained for one year. During this time, she was brutally beaten, tortured and subjected to slave labour. Two days before she was released, she was brutally beaten again because she refused to give up her belief, and the guards forcibly injected her with four bottles of drugs that damage the central nervous system. After returning home, Xu Guiqin's nervous system failed and she passed away on November 7, 2002 of Chinese lunar calendar [December 9, 2002], nine days later.

Before Xu Guiqin obtained the Fa, she was often sickly and could not regularly go to work. This was mainly due to severe and painful arthritis and she had difficulty walking. In 1998, she began practising Dafa and quickly recovered: all of her illnesses disappeared. Her life was filled with hope.

After Jiang's villainous group began attacking Dafa, she clarified the facts to people through her own experiences. In February 2001, she clarified the facts and distributed flyers as she sold fruit in the market. She was reported to police; they illegally arrested her and sent her to the No. 1 Female Labour Camp in Jinan City, Shandong Province where she was detained for one year and was brutally tortured. She was forced to stand for long periods of time, brutally beaten, deprived of sleep, forced to bend her body at a 90 degree angle and was forced to work for extended periods of time. On one occasion, the section chief Wang lied and said, "Whoever is truly practising Falun Gong walk to the other side, then you can enjoy freedom to practise [the exercises] and study the Fa without interference." Xu Guiqin walked over and was brutally beaten by Wang. She passed out and was also brutally beaten many times afterwards.

During the illegal detention, Ms. Xu persisted in her belief. Two days before her release, chief Wang tried to force her to write a guarantee statement but she firmly refused. Wang asked if she would still practise Falun Gong, and she replied, "Yes" with determination and also she condemned Wang for his vicious behaviour. Wang brutally beat her for several hours until she was covered with bruises and her body was black and blue. In order to cover up their crimes, the guards forcibly injected Xu Guiqin with four bottles of drugs that are detrimental to the central nervous system. The drug caused dizziness, swelling of facial tissues, hardness of the tongue, numbness in parts of the body, anorexia and severe memory deterioration. When her family picked her up, the guards said, "Watch out for her and don't let her go by herself, or her life will be at risk." Upon returning home, Xu Guiqin’s nervous system gradually deteriorated and she passed away nine days later on November 7, 2002 of Chinese lunar calendar [December 9, 2002].

2. Two Falun Dafa Practitioners Tortured to Death at Dayi County Detention Centre

The Dayi County Detention Centre in Chengdu City brutally tortured Falun Dafa practitioners who were on a hunger strike to protest the persecution at the end of 2002. They were tortured by being force-fed water mixed with chili oil. Two practitioners choked to death from being force-fed chili water. To cover up their crime, the detention centre immediately coerced the criminal inmates into making false statements. One of the practitioners tortured to death was called "Liao Liang." The details have yet to be investigated.

3. Mr. Zhong Hongxi Died From Torture in the Fushun City Labour Camp, Family Members Illegally Sent to Forced Labour Camp

Zhong Hongxi, male, was a forty-eight year old Falun Dafa practitioner from Gebu Village, Fushun City, Liaoning Province. Mr. Zhong was illegally sentenced to 2 years in a forced labour camp in December 2001 because he insisted on practising Falun Gong. While at Fushun City Forced Labour Camp (Wujiabao), Zhong was subjected to extreme torment. Fourteen months later, he was on the brink of death. To shirk responsibility, police at the labour camp released him on March 26, 2003. On April 12, 2003, Zhong passed away.
Zhong Hongxi started practising Falun Gong in 1998. All five members of his family practise Falun Gong, and they benefited from it tremendously. In 1999, Zhong's whole family went to Beijing to validate Falun Dafa; four of them were either detained or sent to forced labour camps. His youngest son was 10 years old, and he had no one to care for him. Zhong was released in 2001 after he served his sentence. Local police would not let Zhong and his family live in Tiefa. They used the excuse that the Zhong's did not register their residence there. Without another option, the Zhong's moved to Fushun City. With help from some relatives, they found a place to live in Gebu Village and opened a convenience store.

Zhong's second daughter and her boyfriend went to Beijing in December 2001. Her boyfriend was sentenced to 11 years in forced labour camp, and she was sentenced to 8 years. They were both sent to Dabei Prison in Shenyang. Zhong's oldest son-in-law was also illegally sentenced to 9 years in jail. Because Zhong's second daughter went to Beijing, officers from Gebu Village Police Station and the community office went to their home and harassed them. On December 24, 2001, Zhong's wife was sent to a detention centre. Police tried to extort money from Zhong, but he refused to pay. Zhong demanded an explanation, "You detained my wife without cause, what are you asking money for?" On December 26, Zhong was sent to Fushun Forced Labour Camp (Wujiabao). Police confiscated everything from Zhong's convenience store. They also confiscated everything from the home of Zhong's sister-in-law. They took all the money, even pocket change. They sealed the doors and left a twelve-year-old behind, alone. Zhong's sister-in-law later went to the police and asked, "I am not a Falun Gong practitioner, why did you ransack my home?" The police replied, "Because it's YOUR sister who practises Falun Gong."

Zhong Hongxi was illegally sentenced to 2 years in forced labour camp. The jail guards tortured him. They tried to force him to give up his belief in Falun Dafa. Zhong was on his last legs after fourteen months in the labour camp. In order to shuffle off the responsibility, the labour camp released him on March 26, 2003. His home, however, was ransacked. His family had no means to pay for medical treatment. Zhong Hongxi returned home on March 26, and he died on April 12. Both his parents are over eighty years old, and his youngest son is only twelve.

4. Belated News: Dafa Practitioner Chen Min from Fushun City, Liaoning Province Dies As A Result of Persecution

Dafa Practitioner Ms. Chen Min lived in Xinbin County, Fushun City, Liaoning Province. After July 20, 1999, she travelled to Beijing to appeal and clarify the truth about Falun Gong. On July 22, while being taken back to Fushun City, in order to escape from detention and abuse by the police, Ms. Chen Min jumped out of the train and died. Details of the case are under investigation.

5. Practitioner Guo Qiang Died From Persecution in Jilin City Public Security Bureau
