Hungary: Overcoming Interference from the Chinese Embassy to Spread the Fa

During the first weekend in June, practitioners from Hungary, Austria and Australia spread the practice of Falun Dafa to the Hungarian people in various cities. The activities included peaceful protests in front of the Chinese Embassy in Budapest, exercise demonstrations, distributing flyers and holding picture exhibitions.

Practitioners demonstrated the exercises on Margaret Island, a popular tourist spot and also visited the Chinese community to hand out truth-clarification materials.

Later on, practitioners held a peaceful appeal in front of the Chinese embassy in Budapest. One Embassy official came and tried to disturb us. The Embassy official went up to practitioners and began asking when the next Dafa activity was to be held, what practitioners future plans were, etc. Another official took photos and also questioned practitioners. He called the police, demanded to see our permit and attempted to move us 20 metres away from the site of our appeal. However, when the police arrived and heard his ridiculous demands, they laughed and did not take them seriously. One officer said, “They are just sitting here in meditation. How are these people disturbing you?”
