France: Dafa Practitioners Participate in the Paris Expo

To help more people learn the truth about Falun Dafa, French Falun Gong practitioners participated in the annual Paris Expo from April 30th to May 11th.

This annual expo is a particularly popular event and this year it attracted over 2 million visitors. People from all parts of France had the opportunity to appreciate the performances prepared by Dafa practitioners. Accompanied by elegant music, some practitioners demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises to the audience, while others explained the principles of cultivation, told people about the persecution of Falun Gong in China and outlined the activities of practitioners all over the world in their efforts to stop this persecution.

Many audience members expressed a desire to develop a deeper understanding of the persecution in China. Even more people were interested in learning the exercises. Some of the audience bought the introductory book Falun Gong. After learning more about the brutal persecution in China and the lawsuit against Jiang, many people showed their support by signing the practitioners’ petition.

This ten-day expo also offered Dafa practitioners a precious opportunity to cooperate well with one another. Every day, several practitioners demonstrated the exercises together onstage, and everything went very smoothly. Though each of us had to stand relatively still onstage for the whole day, the time just flew by. The audience who stopped to watch our exercise demonstration encouraged us to continue telling them the facts about Falun Gong.

In the first week, a young Korean man living in Germany came to our stand saying, “In 1998 I stopped practising Falun Gong. However, I have regretted this decision ever since. Now I’ve come here and met you. It’s such a coincidence. Shortly after I stopped practising, I dreamed about Master. All of this happening is not accidental!” In his eyes, we could see compassion for the persecuted practitioners in China; he immediately signed the petition. During the second day, he came to our stall again. One of the practitioners told him, “It was not accidental that you passed by our stall again. Master is giving you another chance to practise cultivation.” With much gratitude, he accepted the suggestion, saying that he would start to practise Falun Gong again.

The annual expo also gave us the opportunity to make contact with people from different walks of life and various religions. Thus, we could tell the facts to people more comprehensively. One Jewish priest said, “Before coming here, I never thought that there were still kind people in the world. But now you tell me about your cultivation way and the current situation in China.” The priest then signed the petition.
