Some Comments on Treasuring Minghui Net

Minghui Net is a Chinese Falun Dafa website

Several days ago Minghui Net published an article entitled “It Is Our Indispensable Duty to Treasure Minghui Net.” I agree with the viewpoints of this article. This article reminds me of some occurences in China and some of my thoughts about Minghui Net. Here I would like to write down my comments to exchange my personal understanding with everyone. If there is anything improper, please be kind enough to correct me.

Compared with the initial stage of the persecution when Master did not utter any words about our cultivation path, there are today significantly fewer arguments over Minghui Net. I remember that in the beginning practitioners in and outside China had serious arguments over whether Minghui Net should be set up. After Minghui Net was set up, there were still arguments over some concrete issues, like whether there should be a definite voice to encourage practitioners to step out, whether there should be reports on hunger strikes, whether hunger strikes should be encouraged and so on. In the initial stage of the persecution, the practitioners in China had a lot of arguments over whether they should step out, read or spread the articles on Minghui Net. Just like Master said, “During this process, the students encountered numerous specific problems and many difficulties. At first they didn't know how to deal with them. Later on, they gradually came to understand, and through trial and error they figured out what to do.” (Teaching the Fa at the Great Lakes Fa Conference in North America) Later, Master plainly affirmed Minghui Net’s guiding role over some important issues. Now there is no need to discuss whether we should believe in Minghui Net. But some who still do not have proper understandings of Fa-rectification still get confused.

Step by step we are walking through the persecution and Minghui Net is thoroughly recording the whole process. During the persecution when the media has been totally blocked and free and normal communication is banned, Minghui Net offers Dafa practitioners a site to exchange personal understandings with one another. Meanwhile, Minghui Net also functions as a channel to expose the evil and allows us to communicate good ideas with one another about exposing the evil and ending the persecution. Based on this, complaints about Minghui Net should not exist. Under such serious persecution and dreadful circumstances, we are unlikely to have another, better channel and means of communication. I think the word “treasure” is very appropriate. It is our duty to treasure Minghui Net. Everyone should treasure it, all of those who ever practised Falun Gong, no matter those involved in Fa-rectification work or not. Even everyday people should treasure it if they want to know the truth. Since Minghui Net serves as a site for communication, practitioners gain understanding of many things gradually through exchanges of personal understanding. In this whole process, isn’t it normal to have published some articles with improper viewpoints? It is also unavoidable that sometimes the published events of persecution might not be exactly close to the facts; however, the inconsistent parts were not the main parts. In general, we walk our path of cultivation very righteously. Regarding this, the inconsistency does not have a negative effect on our purpose to have a site to communicate with one another and to expose the facts of persecution.

To deny the rest just because of one inconsistent part is a typical political measure to fight against the enemy, and also a deviated thinking pattern. In China, political measures might be used to put all kinds of labels on you. If you did nothing wrong, they would even kill that person and label you with a crime. When their evildoing is being sufficiently exposed, the evil guys think that if they could find any inconsistent parts on Minghui Net, then we would be like them. However, what they say are deceitful and attack us by slandering us. On the contrary, Minghui Net is a place to tell the facts. Could both of them be the same? They both have different bases and purposes. The thinking patterns of that evil regime are inhumane, believing in neither heavenly truth nor Gods. The evil guys occupy the propaganda machine and all the state-run mechanism; if they want to give someone a hard time, he has no choice but to admit that he did something wrong. In China, someone would commit an unforgivable crime if he told the truth. But we are completely different from the evil guys. Heaven and Gods know the heavenly laws; right and wrong, good and evil never get confused. The evil guys fear that people will know the truth, but we do not; we are not afraid of the inconsistent parts. We stand on the basis of telling the truth and facts.

When I was detained in a labour camp, the evil guards and those who had misleading understanding of the Fa, tried many times to transform me. In October, 2000, the practitioners in Tuanhe Labour Camp successfully smuggled out the facts of how I and Hu Changan were persecuted and published them on Minghui Net. After the Evil was exposed, they were extremely terrified and restrained. But the evil guards attacked Minghui Net because of the inconsistent part that “Zhao Ming’s legs were beaten and broken.” At that time, I thought that Dafa practitioners would never forge facts and there had to be some reason behind the inconsistent part. So I told the evil guards, “If there is something like this, I can clarify the truth and tell them that my legs are not broken. But I have to tell everybody first what happened here.” After my words, the evil guards fell silent about “clarifying the truth.”

In 2001, I was transferred to another labour camp. There were still other evil guards attacking Minghui Net, making accusations that the reports were not based on the facts. I said, “Dafa practitioners have no fear that people will know the truth. If there are really some parts not exactly based on the facts, we can correct them. In the future when the persecution comes to an end, we can find out all those involved in the events and check everything recorded on Minghui Net. In this way, we can be responsible for history. Is it possible that all the facts of the persecution will just disappear after the correction?” The guards became speechless.

When the evil regime wants to give someone a hard time, they slap labels on that person. There is nothing unusual about this. During the Chinese Spring Festival of 2001, I was detained in Xin’an Labour Camp in Beijing. CCTV broadcast the programme of the self-immolation in Tiananmen Square. The evil guards and those with who were brainwashed seemed to be emboldened and to found a grand reason for the persecution and their evil theories. Based on my understanding of their evil nature, I said, “In the future they are likely to make up the lie that Falun Gong practitioners kill someone.” Just as expected, later there were reports of Falun Gong practitioners involved in murdering and a train accident. Is there any difference between the deceitful reports and the earlier lie that Falun Gong harms people’s health? The only difference is that their methods become crueller. To slander Falun Gong, they really killed someone and put the blame on Falun Gong.

No matter whether it is from the viewpoints of everyday people or from the viewpoints of Dafa practitioners who are validating the Fa, what we do has nothing that can be blamed. The methods we use are peaceful, legal and kind. We just want to have basic human rights. But in China, the citizens there are forced to become obedient through all political campaigns; in their minds they have neither ideas nor wishes to ask for human rights. The most stupid are those who are still ignorant enough to identify with the government’s violations of human rights.

Those who have been brainwashed are the most unreasonable. They find some excuse to justify their contradictory and evil theories. After reading Master’s teaching at the Conference in Vancouver, I feel that I was not compassionate enough to those who spread fake scriptures in China.

Master said, “What's driving them to do that? They're doing that because the fake scriptures contain things they're attached to and things that fit with their human attachments. I don't think they're intentionally trying to damage the Fa. It's because they have attachments and have human thoughts that they're doing this, they've done things that the evil wants to see done, and they've interfered with Dafa disciples' validating the Fa.” (Teaching the Fa at the Conference in Vancouver, Canada, in 2003)

I think those practitioners who cannot view Minghui Net from a positive point of view also have their attachments and human thoughts. “It's because they have attachments and have human thoughts that they're doing this.” If possible, we can help them to strengthen their righteous thoughts.

In reality and in the future, the function of Minghui Net is and will be incomparable. Master said, “When this page of history is turned, the people who remain will see your magnificence, and the future Gods will forever remember this magnificent time in history.” (“Rationality”) Master also said, “Mankind, the mankind of the future, it'll eulogize today's Fa-rectification affair for generation after generation. (Applause) As for the truth about the persecution, that hasn't yet been fully revealed for mankind to see. Mankind will be shocked. The Consummation of Dafa disciples, the occurrence of everything that mankind doesn't believe in, and the process of all of mankind's deviated things being rectified--these will be soul stirring, and not just shocking but terrifying. All of that will happen. So this segment of history will be passed down by mankind for all eternity.”

This segment of human history, that will be eulogized by future generations is recorded mainly by Minghui Net. In difficult times, Minghui Net records the Fa-rectification epic of Dafa practitioners’ magnificent deeds of validating the Fa. Regarding this, we should treasure Minghui Net more and more. To be responsible to future generations, we should take Minghui Net seriously. Those who follow the Evil to slander Minghui Net would feel extremely ashamed if they could come to realise the truth.
