In every place they demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises, explained the facts about the Jiang regimes brutal persecution and collected signatures on a petition calling for an end to this suppression. They also brought up the issue of article 23, which is a huge threat for the freedom of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong people.
In every city, people's reactions were very positive. The media was interested in the tour; six different newspapers and two radio channels interviewed the practitioners. Some people showed up to learn about Falun Gong after they heard the interviews on the radio. People had long talks with practitioners and many seemed to already know a lot about the unlawful persecution in China. Rain, which was persistent throughout almost the entire tour, didn't affect the practitioners, and many people thanked the positive attitude of the practitioners who were not bothered by the bad weather.
Many people wanted to participate in a class to learn Falun Gong. Practitioners felt that people were more open than before. They listened carefully and were touched after seeing the exercises and practitioners peaceful demeanour. A lady in the city of Kuopio knew Finnish president Tarja Halonen and her husband personally, and said she is going to bring up the matter of Falun Gong next time she sees them. She was very worried about the human rights situation in China.
