Ms. Wang Xiuxia began to hunger strike as soon as she entered the detention centre. She was shackled, handcuffed and force-fed by the guards several times. The most severe case of this was when she was handcuffed to a chair while in solitary confinement for a twenty-four hour period. Her hands and feet were bound tightly, and she was almost totally unable to move. She repeatedly called out: "Falun Dafa is Great" and didn't give in to the amoral people.
On the evening of June 15, Ms. Wang's health was in a critical condition and she looked pale and short of breath. But the police took no notice and failed to summon emergency treatment for her promptly. In the end, Ms Wang Xiuxia passed away while still in the detention centre.
All the female Dafa practitioners who were illegally detained at the detention centre began to hunger strike together to resist the persecution of Wang Xiuxia. The police began the typical measures to stop Dafa practitioners who protested their cruelty, forcing other prisoners to torture Dafa practitioner Ms. Qu Cailing even though she had heart disease and hypertension. Ms Qu can no longer move her arms and has lost quite a few teeth.
