Husband Li Jun and Wife Du Xiuyun Are Illegally Sentenced to Prison

Li Jun, a 32-year-old native of Yanji City, Jilin Province and his wife Du Xiuyun, a 31-year-old native of Linjiang City, Jilin Province attended Teacher's lecture in Yanji City in August 1994. Afterwards, Li moved to Japan. In the Fall of 2001, Li returned to China to validate Dafa and finally settled in Dalian City. Li spent more than 20,000 Yuan [Chinese currency, the monthly salary for an average Chinese urban worker is about 500 Yuan ] on equipment including a copier and a computer and found a job delivering newspapers. He distributed Dafa materials to clarify the truth as he delivered newspapers every day and he never stopped.

In May 2002, Du Xiuyun went to her hometown to distribute Dafa materials. On May 16, Du went back to Dalian and found Li missing. The police from the Wanjia Police Station were waiting at their house and arrested her. The police also illegally confiscated their property including the copier, a printer, a computer, a cell phone, and a back certificate.

At the beginning of 2003, Li and Du were illegally sentenced to nine and eight year prison terms in Liaoning Province. The police deny them their legal visitation rights.
