UK: Letting People know the Truth on the Streets of Cardiff, the Capital of Wales

On 17th August, Dafa practitioners demonstrated the five sets of exercises on the streets of Cardiff’s downtown area. They were accompanied by a photo display, a petition signature collection and the handing out of many leaflets.

In the early morning, practitioners arrived at the site and found that there were several big wire racks that could be used to support the display boards. They talked with a nearby construction team and got permission to use them. Practitioners fastened the several display boards onto the racks and when they were finished, passing pedestrians were now confronted by a big “wall” of truth about Falun Gong. Many people slowed down to read the boards with interest. Some people read the display boards and said that they felt indignant at the injustice and did not realize that such violations of human rights are still taking place in China. They said that without this Dafa activity, it would be difficult for them to learn the real situation from the media.

One person took a Falun Gong leaflet, looked at the Swastikas in the Falun emblem and approached practitioners to say, “I know, this figure means good fortune in the oriental culture. I also wish you good luck!”

Practitioners were approached by three young Taiwanese men who were on a trip to Britain. They were very excited when they received an introduction to Dafa and a leaflet. They asked for more materials and said that they will pass the truth onto more Chinese and Taiwanese people.

Dafa practitioners’ exercise demonstration attracted many passers-by. Some stopped to watch and others summoned their friends and family members. People are waiting for Dafa. We will strive to create more opportunities to let them understand the truth.
