German newspaper “Rhein-Neckar” reported on activities in the global efforts to rescue Dafa practitioners’ persecuted family members on the 19th of August:

Not only have they collected people’s signatures to petition for the release of Xiong Wei, but Michael Hackmayer and Heidelberg resident Jazeck Wohlers have even composed a song specially dedicated to her.

Xiong Wei was forced into a Labour Camp in Beijing for distributing leaflets about the persecution of Falun Gong in China. Her husband in China is also now under surveillance. Xiong Wei was a student at Berlin Technical University. Her friends in Heidelberg are trying to help rescue her; three residents joined a protest on Tiananmen Square in Beijing last January for her release. This was also reported by us.

The International Human Rights Association is also helping us with the rescue activities. They have organised a campaign to “send postcards to the German government”. Xiong Wei’s friends in Heidelberg are hoping that she will soon hear this special song. (Online listening available on www.friends-of-xiongwei.de)
