My mother-in-law began to practice Falun Dafa when she was visiting us in the USA. Although she has not been cultivating for a very long time, she practices Falun Gong very diligently. After I received my mother’s phone call, on the next day, I received a letter from my mother in law.

Hello, Xiaodong and Xiaohong,

The family was very glad to receive your photos. I am very gratified to see my granddaughter growing so quickly. Especially, when we saw the photo of her putting coins into the parking metre, her innocence and naturalness made all of us laugh.

Because your father-in-law has opened another shop and has no workers, I have to work there. Also because business is slow, we cannot employ workers from outside. Thus, the family members have to do the work. If the business is running well, we can be paid, if it is slow, we just work without being paid, and everyone understands this well. Since April this year, I have been working for 4 months and I only got 350 Yuan for one month. I do not care about it, I just regard it as I did the volunteer work in the USA. However, I would not have done something like this before I began practicing Falun Gong.

After I came back, I missed the time I spent at your place very much, as the practice environment is very open, you can read the book out loud, practice the exercises in public at any time, and participate in various activities to promote Falun Gong. However, here is much more difficult. But we all believe that the truth will come out in the near future.

At the beginning of August, I borrowed a VCD about Buddhist cultivation stories, and showed it to your parents as well. All of them thought it was very educational, they have understood about the reincarnation cycle of samsara and believed more in Master Li’s teachings, thus they have been cultivating more firmly.

Sometimes I think that man is powerless; a single small cell can bring them half to death. You know that Uncle Zhang had a healthy body, but this time, after he was diagnosed with mouth cancer, his face became distorted. Uncle Zhang’s health is getting worse, and his constitution has been undermined. When he was hospitalized, we often went to see him. While there I saw were so many people lining up, waiting to see doctors, and I really felt so grateful to our Master for bringing this fine Buddha law to all the sentient beings, and thankful both of you for introducing Falun Dafa to me as well. Now, I can finish reading Zhuan Falun once every 5 days, explain the facts of Falun Gong to people who come to our shop, and make the best use of my time for genuine cultivation practice. Your father in law is getting better. He has witnessed my changing – how I have become free of illness, how my personal character and temper are becoming better, my being more tolerant and enduring, and my doing all the housework without argument – and he thinks that Dafa has changed me, which is the truth. I think he will become better and better bfrom the subtle influence of Dafa.

My work hours are: 8:40am—12:30am and 1:30pm – 6:00pm. If there were very urgent materials, you may send to me. I can get any other materials including good articles.
