Mr. Zhou Keli's oldest daughter was abducted to the Xianning Mao'er Mountain Detention Centre on May 22 of this year, even before she fully recovered from her sickness. She protested by going on a 20-day hunger strike. Subsequently, she was sent to the Shayang Labour Camp. After being examined by a prison doctor and diagnosed with heart disease, her admission was rejected. To persuade the detention centre to keep her, the Police Station Chief Song Ruishen, and Du Zhiqiang from the Development District of Wenquan town, Wenquan Charukou, and Detention Centre Instructor Chen Rebing put together a big banquet at the labour camp, to bribe the labour camp to admit her.
The police from the Wenquan Chalukou police substation always secretly followed and monitored Mr. Zhou's family, and hid near their house. When a so-called "Sensitive Day" came up, they would barge in, arrest people, or interfere with their lives. On July 20th, 2001, at 9 p.m., more than ten policemen from Chalukou police substation ran up to Mr. Zhou's house, surrounded it and shouted loudly, disturbing the entire neighbourhood. A policeman used a spade to smash a window from the balcony.
During four years of bloody persecution, Mr. Zhou's house was searched more than ten times. During some of the house searches, four policemen stole money and property. One day in November 2001, a motorcycle disappeared from the house and was never found. Mr. Zhou's colleague witnessed four policemen carry the motorcycle to the police car and drive away.
Currently, Mr. Zhou's oldest son, Chen Weiqun, is illegally detained in Wuhan Province Hewan Labour Camp. Mr. Zhou Keli himself has been forced to leave home with no place to stay. His livelihood was also taken away (his work unit stopped paying him his monthly pension of about one thousand Yuan*). Mr. Zhou's younger daughter, Chen Yiqun, escaped from a brainwashing class and went into hiding. To this date, no one has heard any news from her. Her work unit has dismissed her. To date, accumulated fines and salary retentions have added up to one hundred thousand Yuan. The entire family was financially ruined. With no income, the youngest child cannot attend school and the entire family cannot get together.
The experiences of Mr. Zhou's family is only one of countless cases of persecution against Falun Gong practitioners and their families. We implore all kind-hearted people to please distinguish righteous from evil, clearly tell right from wrong, and treat Falun Dafa and Dafa practitioners kindly.
