News from Malaysia: The Malaysian Falun Dafa Research and Training Centre was officially established in the capital city of Kuala Lumpur on November 1, 2003. The process of preparing an application for the Research and Training Centre was a process not only of broad truth-clarification to the Malaysian people and local communities, but also of resistance to interference from the evil regime of China.
About 6 months ago, Malaysian Falun Gong practitioners handed in to the local registrar an application to establish the Malaysia Falun Dafa Association, along with a draft of the association's constitution. No reply from the registrar was heard for a long time afterwards. After an inquiry, practitioners learned that the Chinese Consulate had pressured Malaysian officials, who then worried that approval of the application might negatively affect the relationship between China and Malaysia. Thus, the application was frozen (suspended).
This motivated Malaysia Falun Gong practitioners to seize this opportunity to launch an in-depth truth-clarification of Falun Gong to the local communities, to the people, and to the concerned organization. They fully exposed the brutal persecution of Falun Gong by Jiang's regime, and broadly spread the fact that Jiang has been sued legally and condemned morally all over the world for persecuting Falun Gong. Practitioners gained support from lawyers who had learned the truth of Falun Gong. Several months ago, they again handed in the application to establish the Malaysian Falun Dafa Research and Training Centre. Because the establishment of the Falun Dafa Research and Training Centre was consistent with the "freedom to gather" granted by the constitution of Malaysia, the application was approved.
After the official establishment of the Malaysia Falun Dafa Research and Training Centre, the Malaysia 2003 First Experience-Sharing Conference was held in Kuala Lumpur on November 23, 2003.
