The Global Mission to Rescue Persecuted Falun Gong Practitioners (GMRPFGP) is an independent, non-profit organization whose objective is to call for and restore conscience and moral courage. Its purpose is to initiate, coordinate and cooperate with governments around the world, with international organizations, people from various segments of society, and alert all righteous voices in China. Its goals are to expose Jiang Zemin's use of the Chinese Communist Party to persecute Falun Gong practitioners, to rescue practitioners who are being detained and persecuted in China and to eventually bring this catastrophe imposed on the Chinese nation and on the rest of humanity to an end.
The GMRPFGP has recently initiated efforts to call on relevant officials in Shanghai to release Ms. Li Qian, the girl friend of American citizen Mr. Mei Shengyang, who was illegally arrested. The organization further calls for the release of Ms. Zhou Xuefei, wife of Atlanta, USA resident Mr. Lu Zhaohui. Ms. Zhou has been detained past her sentence deadline in Sanshui City Women's Detention Centre in Guangdong Province.
Falun Gong practitioners caution the perpetrators in this persecution that, judging from all previous historical incidents of a similar nature throughout history, people who have committed crimes against innocent people have never been able to escape from righteous judgment by invoking the excuse of "obeying commands from higher authorities." After World War II, the Nazis were not able to escape judgment in court and obtain a pardon with the excuse of "obeying orders."
The investigation of perpetrators in China is currently in progress. Not only is the Worldwide Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong examining numerous cases of the persecution, but also, Jiang Zemin, along with his followers, are being prosecuted in the courts of several countries for crimes of genocide, crimes against humanity, torture and the violation of basic human rights.
