Germany: Introducing Falun Gong at Passau University Homecoming Day

December 8th was the 25th anniversary of the establishment of Passau University. Included in the celebration ceremony programme was a demonstration of the Falun Gong exercises. Falun Gong practitioners performed the five sets of exercises on stage. This was the first time that Falun Gong has been included as part of the cultural life of the university.

Although practitioners had registered to perform at the ceremony a long time ago, the organiser of the ceremony told practitioners that due to restrictions in time, a certain student organisation was to perform at the opening of the ceremony. When talking with the organiser, it seemed that he held misunderstandings about Falun Gong. Practitioners recalled that Master Li had said that wherever problems occur, this is when we need to clarify the facts. Thus, a practitioner paid a visit to the student association and explained to them what Falun Gong is all about. As expected, the truth clarification eliminated the misunderstandings and as a result, practitioners were allowed to demonstrate the exercises. This provided practitioners with another opportunity to introduce Falun Gong to the general public. Dafa practitioners also handed out leaflets.
