Female practitioner Meng Qingzhi went to visit her parents in December of 2000. The local police suspected that she might go to Beijing, so they held her for two days and fined her 500 Yuan.

Female practitioner Wang Xiuju was found to have a hand-written copy of Zhuan Falun when the local police searched her home in October 1999. They fined her 1000 Yuan. She was detained 15 days for going to Harbin in July 2000 and fined 130 Yuan.

Female practitioner Jia Ying was found to have a set of tapes of the Falun Gong Lectures when the local police searched her home. They fined her 1000 Yuan.

Guo Fan was fined 1000 Yuan when the local police found Zhuan Falun in his home. He went to Beijing on Dec. 22, 2000 and was arrested in Shenyang. They held him at the No.2 Detention Center for 10 days. The 6-10 Office fined him 1000 Yuan, and the party committee of his village fined him 1800 Yuan. (The 6-10 office - an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems.)
