Many schools in Finland have contacted Falun Gong practitioners and asked them to come to talk about Falun Gong. Reactions from teachers and students have always been good and the teachers have asked practitioners to come again on many occasions.
A teacher from one school in the county of Kirkkonummi contacted a practitioner and asked him to come and tell the students in two classes about the practice of Falun Gong.
Two practitioners from the city of Helsinki travelled to the school with material prepared for the students. They started by talking about Qigong practices in general and then about Falun Gong and its characteristics. but has been an everyday thing in the East for thousands of years. The students learned a lot about Falun Gong and how it became the most popular Qigong practice in China’s history. They also talked about the Falun emblem. Practitioners demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises and the students joined in. The atmosphere became more The students listened carefully when practitioners explained about the cultivation of mind and body, which may be unfamiliar for many westerners peaceful after the practice, as students got a real physical experience of the calmness and peacefulness of the Falun Gong exercises. The students paid close attention and asked many questions. The teacher praised the exercises and said that they felt good for her back.
At the end of the class, everyone watched a film that exposed the persecution and genocide campaign against Falun Gong practitioners launched by Jiang Zemin. The pictures of torture, abuse and cruel treatment by the police against the innocent practitioners in China made students realise the seriousness of this persecution. Afterwards they were quiet and shocked by the reality of it.
Next practitioners explained further about the peaceful appeals and methods practitioners are using to stop this persecution, mentioning the worldwide support from NGO’s and governments. They also talked about the international lawsuits that have been filed across the world against the persecutors of Falun Gong. These legal processes are clear examples of the principle that good is rewarded and evil receives retribution, and the students demonstrated that they had obviously understood this principle clearly.
After both classes, the students and the teacher thanked the practitioners for the information and exercise demonstration. The teacher asked for an opportunity to contact practitioners once again when a suitable occasion was available for a “Falun Gong Class”.
