Germany: To Tsinghua University Alumnus Wang Weiyu – “We will always be with you"

The cold night falls on Germany. It is so peaceful and tranquil. However, my thoughts find no way to stay calm. Tomorrow morning, Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Wang Weiyu, who is a Tsinghua University alumnus and a good friend of my husband, will stand on illegal trial in Beijing with two other Tsinghua University alumni, Mr. Yu Chao and his wife Ms. Chu Tong, because of their belief in truthfulness, compassion and forbearance.

It is late evening in China now. Is it a sleepless night for Weiyu, separated from his wife? Since he was kidnapped by the Public Security Bureau of the Chinese government in August 2002, they haven't seen one another. Is it a sleepless night for Weiyu’s parents too? Their son has been outstanding since childhood and was always their pride and joy, but he will be prosecuted tomorrow. I sit in front of my desk. Weiyu, my vision runs deep into the darkness until I can see your modest, sincere face. I know you are in a place where right and wrong are messed up. This is not your fault. This just makes your innocence even clearer.

On the eve of your illegal trial, Wang Weiyu, I hope my voice penetrates the dark curtain of night to reach you, imprisoned on the other side of the world. Hear these important messages: Through the rescue efforts of Dafa practitioners all over the world, but especially Germany and Israel, Xiong Wei, who studied in Germany for six years, was released after two years of imprisonment in a Chinese labour camp. Also, there have been seven family members of Canadian practitioners released after the rescue efforts of overseas Falun Gong practitioners. More and more Dafa practitioners who were once incarcerated by the Jiang regime are now standing up to expose the persecution to foreign governments, the media and the general public. I also want to tell you that Dafa practitioners have filed several lawsuits against Jiang Zemin in Germany, USA, Belgium, Taiwan, Spain and Korea. Similar lawsuits have been filed in more than ten countries against other Chinese government officials who persecute Falun Gong. Jiang and his accomplices are terrified by these lawsuits. They know, without a doubt, that they can’t escape responsibility for their crimes in any society that respects justice and freedom.

The people who stand on trial in history won’t be you or other Falun Gong practitioners. Instead, they will be the people who prosecute you and the instigators of this persecution. The grand trial has begun. From my position on the other side of the world, I am standing right beside you!
