An outdoor performance sponsored by Taipei New Culture Promotion Association, was held at the Public TV 53 Square on January 3, 2004. Its aims are to bring positive culture to the public.
This art performance called "Feast of Beauty" featured established Falun Gong practitioner artists and Falun Gong practitioner art groups, including Fei Tian Art Ensemble, Tian Yin Chorus, Xiao Yao Xin Chorus, Taipei Minghui Falun Gong School, Little Red Hat Drum Team, Australian pianist Xie Xiaojing, pianist Xian Shuyu, Zheng performer Liu Huiyi, vocal duet Wu Zhenghan and Sun Xiangqing, mezzo-soprano Wang Qihui, composer Wu Jiawei and Australian artist Zhang Cuiying. The programs included a dozen beautiful songs and dances like "Universal Celebration," "Coming for You," "On a Journey Back Home," "Rising Above Everything," "Wind Jangles Bells, Not My Heart," "Looking Over Dunhuang," "Rainbow in a Dream," "Our Predestined Relationship," and "Ode to Lotus." The artists' high-quality performance was warmly received by the audience.
Xiao Yao Xin Chorus is composed of twenty Falun Gong practitioners. Their elegant and graceful Tang-Dynasty style costumes were made by Falun Gong practitioners with sewing expertise. They sing in such costumes in order to match their songs with the ancient style, as well as to bring people the beauty of pure elegance. A chorus member said that her movements became smoother and her voice became softer with her costume on. If everyone in society could wear such elegant and noble clothing, the overall climate of the society would be more pure and peaceful.
Ms. Zhao, a member of the audience, said that the dances, "Ode to Lotus" and "Take Hardship as Joy" by Taipei Minghui School were the most moving performances to her. The children's innocent faces and graceful dances dispersed her worries and fatigue. Through the songs "Universal Celebration" and "Coming for You," she could see that Falun Gong practitioners were making a great effort to tell people the truth about Falun Gong.
Another member of the audience said he could feel the peacefulness in the music. It carried him away to the beautiful realm of cultivation. Many people in the audience were in tears hearing the song "Sit Down Next to Me." As said in the song, "Close your eyes slightly. Stop torture and humiliation. To end the killing, call from the bottom of your heart."
The audience members also expressed their hope for the end of the persecution in mainland China. They wish all kind Falun Gong practitioners will return home soon and continue making their contributions to the world.
