On February the 28th 2004, several Falun Gong practitioners arrived in Swansea, a city located on the south-western shore of the United Kingdom, to demonstrate Falun Gong exercises on the busy streets. The weather was sunny and beautiful, and a lot of milled around the city. When they saw Dafa practitioners, many of them came over and asked for flyers. Some people stood and stared at practitioners’ exercises. The people who came to learn Falun Gong exercises arrived in groups one after another. A middle-aged man read the information boards for more than 20 minutes. After he finished, he earnestly explained the contents of the information boards and also introduced Falun Gong to newcomers.
On March the 6th, Practitioners held an activity in Bath, a famous tourist city. Many tourist groups from all over the world stopped to watch our exercises when they walked by our practice site. Some of them picked up cameras to take pictures. They did not start to leave until the tour guide reminded them it was time to move on.
The backgrounds of the people were all different, including local residents, foreign tourist groups, religious people, the regional representative of Amnesty International, etc. Some people came to the exhibition booth to browse through Dafa’s books and truth materials. They also asked where Dafa’s books can be purchased. Many Chinese people saw the banners and the exercise demonstration when they passed by. They also received materials exposing what’s really happening to Falun Gong practitioners in China.
Through promoting Dafa over these two weekends, practitioners deeply comprehended how eager people are to understand Dafa. By utilizing more opportunities to demonstrate Falun Gong exercises and promote Dafa on the streets, practitioners hope people can see the wide spreading of Dafa all over the world, and provide more opportunities for them to find Dafa, cultivate Dafa and realize the truth.
