I am but one seed from the fruits of the immeasurable,
Born amidst seasons of timeless and unforgotten splendour.
From windows of hidden silence, now cast to the wind,
Here, to where the earth resounds. To journey where even sunless hours would shine,
Where oceans without tide still ebb and flow.
Brief are our days, traversing myriads of lifetimes
Between shores and spans of firmament.Towards light where no shadow dwells,
Leaving all manner of thirst behind.
Inside such worlds bound by hunger,
With communion woken only to the eye.Behold the summit of every horizon,
The path unveiled, no matter the destination.
Nearing home, our harvest fulfilled,
‘Zhen, Shan, Ren’*, the promise of every dawn. With this breath of eternity unfolding,
A cradle of heart comes richest in blossom.
When the mirror of longing finds reflection no more,
As seed I return to the fruits of the immeasurable,
Born amidst a perennial spring.
*‘Zhen, Shan, Ren’ can be translated as 'Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance'. These are the three principles of Falun Gong, which Falun Gong practitioners follow as closely as possible in their everyday lives.
