Showing People the Truth About Falun Gong in Hong Kong

Due to the difference between the cultivation environments in Taiwan and Hong Kong, many attachments that I couldn't easily sense in Taiwan, could be reflected in Hong Kong, which is a relatively severe environment for practicing Falun Gong. When I first came to Hong Kong I noticed that the practitioners there were so righteous that they hung banners all over the bus that was waiting at the pavilion. At that time a policeman passed by. I was thinking that Hong Kong practitioners were so great as the policemen didn’t bother the practitioners as they went about their business. My weakness was shown and due to this thought the policeman came to “look seriously at me”.

Because I used to clarify the facts alone in Taiwan, I did not have the concept of acting as a whole body; I thought that I came to Hong Kong for the purpose of distributing Falun Gong materials and clarifying the facts about Falun Gong just in the same manner as I did in Taiwan. However, I felt it strange and objected to the fact that Hong Kong practitioners asked that we send forth righteous thoughts to improve our state of mind before we handed out any material. However, I later cleansed my own mind and sent forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil factors behind the tourists which would prevent them from learning the truth.

When facing thirty to forty Chinese people, sometimes I didn’t know how to show them the true situation of Falun Gong to them. However, if I thought of saving sentient beings and controlled my competitiveness by telling them simply: ‘I have come to tell you the facts; I do not wish to argue with you and neither am I against the government,’I found the effect would be good. It was also important to cleanse our own material field and selves by sending forth righteous thoughts at every opportunity.

In the beginning I encountered a test that required me to hold a Dafa display board in front of a line of tourist buses. I was conscious of how people would see me and whether they could understand what it was I was doing. However, if I held such thoughts then the evil could interfere. Any test we encounter targets our minds. If we were righteous enough and are able to place our hearts correctly, the external interference would not exist. If I wasn’t in a good cultivation state, people in the buses would either not see the display board or close their curtains. With adjustments from time to time, I sent forth righteous thoughts while holding the display board. I also eliminated my mentality of being laughed at and kept the thought that I would let them know the facts no matter how they saw me. On the day I was leaving Hong Kong, there were only a few more hours left for me to hold the display board. I thought that it was not by chance that people were sitting in the buses close to me. They might not accept the truth materials or stop to see the display boards. It was their last chance. Actually, I found that that they were eager to get to know the fact when I held the display board. Some of them asked me to change the boards by knocking on the windows. Some of them even applauded after watching the display boards, thanking me for letting them see the truth. Some Chinese told the practitioners that they were working hard, or “I admire you” and so on.

Finally, I have also enlightened to the fact that I shouldn’t have such a thought that there are more Chinese in Hong Kong or that it is quicker to increase ones xinxing [moral character/heart nature], actually it is a process of saving sentient beings.
