Norway: "Human Rights in China" Seminar Tour began in the University of Oslo

On May the 6th 2004, the Chinese Human Rights Speech Tour began its journey at Oslo University in the capital of Norway. This speech tour has a group of lecturers that are mainly brought together by a famous Canadian lawyer, the chairperson of Asia Research Association in America, the chairperson of the Labour Studies Fund Association, as well as Falun Gong practitioners that have been persecuted in China. Talks given by the tour aim at helping governments and people in northern Europe to understand more about the current human rights abuses against Falun Gong practitioners, Christians and other minority groups in China, and to adopt more effective approaches to make China improve the its human rights situation.

The talk given in Oslo University was jointly sponsored by Falun Gong practitioners studying in the University. Members from Amnesty International. Students Group of the University were very interested in this talk, they were shocked by the true state of human rights in China. After the talk had finished, a lot of the audience stayed and talked to the lecturers, wanting to know more about the situation.
