On May the 27th 2004, the US Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit opened a court hearing on the case of Falun Gong practitioners' lawsuit against Jiang. On May the 29th, Falun Gong practitioners from Moscow, St. Petersburg, and other cities rallied in front of the Chinese Embassy in Moscow to support the lawsuit against Jiang and expose the brutal persecution of Falun Gong in China.
On the plaza in front of the Chinese Embassy, practitioners displayed posters illustrating the inhuman persecution that Jiang's group launched against Falun Gong practitioners. They also unfurled banners with both Chinese and Russian words: "Bring Jiang Zemin to Justice." Practitioners practised the exercises and sent forth righteous thoughts together. They also explained the facts of the persecution to passersby.

Practitioners took the initiative to introduce to the police officers on duty the brutal persecution that Falun Gong practitioners have encountered in China. They also exposed the lies spread by the Chinese Consulate, Embassy and some of the Jiang group's followers, as well as their interference in an attempt to hinge practitioners from clarifying the facts or holding group exercises. The on-duty police officers expressed, "We can protect you for your activities."
A TV station in Moscow came to cover the event. Many passersby stopped to look at the posters. A retired gentleman who lives nearby came over to attentively look at the posters depicting the Jiang group's ruthless persecution of Falun Gong. Previously, he often stood far away from practitioners' rally and watched the activities. This time, he came close from the very beginning and also carefully listened to practitioners' explanations. He said that he could not understand why such a group of good people are subjected to such brutal persecution. Some youngsters were appalled at the suppression occurring in China and immediately expressed, "The persecution must be stopped."
