On June the 13th 2004, the first ever Rocky Mountain Falun Dafa experience sharing conference was held at the St. Francis Centre on the Denver campus of the University of Colorado.
Practitioners from Washington DC, California, Utah, Kansas, Missouri, New Mexico and Colorado attended the conference, sharing ten experience papers. Young practitioners sat quietly in the conference room, absorbed by the experience sharing reports.
In addition to practitioners, some 10% of attendees of the conference were non-practitioners. Practitioners were therefore careful to include reports including the practice of Falun Gong, the physical and health benefits, the cultivation of xinxing (heart or mind nature), and explaining the facts of Falun Gong and the persecution. The effect was pretty good.
The conference received a congratulatory letter from Congressman Mark Udall for Falun Dafa's positive contribution to the local community, and warmly welcomed practitioners from other regions attending the conference. The Mayor of Colorado's second largest city, Colorado Springs, issued a proclamation to the conference. The conference also received a congratulatory letter from Hawaii practitioners.
During the conference, pupils of Minghui Chinese school went on stage to sing "Falun Dafa Hao" (Falun Dafa is Good) and recite some of Master's poems.
By dusk, the conference was about to conclude. Led by a Chinese practitioner, western practitioners sang "Coming for You" in Chinese together. The conference successfully concluded after the hosts gave closing remarks.
