A Story From China: A Store owner Learns the Truth About Falun Gong

There is a store owner in Jinzhou City who had some disagreements with her next-door neighbour and so they often fought with each other. In the year 2000, she had a physical fight with her neighbour which resulted in her neighbour been injured. Afterwards the storeowner turned herself in to the police station and was detained.

She was held in the detention centrer for ten months, during which she got acquainted with some Falun Dafa practitioners. The practitioner's conduct left her with strong impressions and touched her. She knew that all practitioners are good people. She had a strong character for hating injustice. Whenever a police officer or inmates mistreated practitioners, she would argue or fight with them. If practitioners did not practice the exercises on time, she would remind them. Before long, she then began to recite Hongyin (a collection of Teacher's poems) and "Lunyu" (preface of Zhuan Falun, the main text of Falun Gong teachings) and began practising the Falun Gong exercises herself. The police asked her why she was practising the exercises. She said, "One must be a fool not to practice such a good thing. This is just too great a thing." The police could not help but leave her alone.

After her detention, she went back and operated her store again. Her store had a good location and practitioners stuck Falun Dafa pamphlets and disks into her door everyday so that people could learn the truth about Falun Gong. She said that we needed to take advantage of this favourable condition and let more people know that Dafa is being persecuted. In particular, we needed to let high school and elementary school kids know how to behave. She told people how good Falun Gong is, and told them that "Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance" is the Buddha Law. She put Dafa materials in the store to let customers read and they would talk about them in the store sometimes. Some people told her, "We believe that your store is a good place to publicise Falun Gong. You are performing a good deed."

Later she told me, "Falun Gong is just too wonderful. I have seen different-sized characters of 'Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance' appearing on all the walls in my store." One time, a policeman went to visit her store and found many Falun Dafa materials there. She said, "You guys should read these too. At least you will know how to be a good person. If I had learned this earlier, I wouldn't have hurt others. In a conflict if we can all look inward to see what we ourselves have done wrong, then the overall moral standards will rise, and the order of the society will be established automatically. Some of you are wearing police's uniforms but doing disgraceful things. You should all go home." Her words stunned the policeman.

Jiang Zemin is only concerned about his own gains and hates Falun Gong because it teaches people to adhere to 'Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance', which contrasts his evilness.
