On July the 8th 2004, the Russian Falun Dafa Association held a press conference in the “Independence Press Centre” of Moscow. The press conference exposed how the Jiang regime’s major player Zeng Qinghong hired thugs to shoot practitioners in order to prevent legal action being taken against him. Zeng, the Chinese Vice-President, was visiting South Africa when the shooting incident took place. Practitioners were planning to file a lawsuit against Zeng and the Chinese minister of Commerce Bo Xilai for their roles in the persecution against Falun Gong. Meanwhile, Russian practitioners also exposed how the Jiang regime threaten, attack and slander Falun Gong practitioners, as well as the mounting examples of persecution against overseas practitioners around the world. They strongly condemned the Jiang regime’s crimes of exporting state terrorism overseas and called on all kind-hearted people to take immediate action to stop the Jiang regime’s campaing of genocide against Falun Gong practitioners.
The press conference was hosted by two members of the Russian Falun Dafa association. Representatives of Falun Gong practitioners from different regions of Russia and a representative of the Russian Human Rights Protection Centre attended the press conference, as did representatives of Moscow’s Helsinki Human Rights Group and reporters from Christian Information, Free Caucasian Radio, Brodin Information Centre and Hong Kong Takungpao.
