Japan: Candlelight Vigil in Tokyo to Commemorate Those Who Lost Their Lives in the Persecution

On the night of July the 23rd 2004, Falun Dafa practitioners in Tokyo held a candlelight vigil in front of the Chinese Embassy and a nearby park to expose the Jiang group's brutal persecution and to commemorate fellow Falun Gong practitioners who have died as a result of the persecution.

Mr. Lu of the Japan Falun Dafa Association said that the persecution has lasted for five years since July the 20th 1999 and the persecution in China is still very cruel. He said that they came to the Embassy to hold the candlelight vigil, and are calling on the Jiang group to stop the persecution immediately. The practitioners hope more people will light candles in their hearts and bravely step forward to help end the persecution.

Falun Gong practitioners sent forth righteous thoughts every half hour in front of the Embassy. Behind them, the banners reading, "Falun Dafa" and "Stop persecuting Falun Gong immediately" were hanging high. Seventy-six year old Mr. Lu arrived at the site early. He said he wanted to show his support to Falun Gong and expose Jiang's group's [referring to the former dictator of China's regime] cruelty.
