Korea: Falun Dafa Association Invited by Spiritual Science Association to Introduce Falun Dafa

On July the 24th 2004, the Korean Falun Dafa Association was invited by the Korean Spiritual Science Association - Seoul Branch to hold a three-hour Falun Dafa Introductory Session at the Spiritual Science Culture Institute.

The activity began with a brief introduction to Falun Dafa, which was followed by a viewing of the Falun Dafa exercise instruction video. The video explained the movements and taught the exercises, while practitioners answered questions. More than forty university professors who are members of the Spiritual Science Association attentively listened to the Falun Dafa introduction and had positive responses. They learned the five sets of exercises, and showed great interest in Falun Dafa cultivation practice.

The Spiritual Science Association is composed of scholars who are interested in cultivation issues. Though they have a rich knowledge of other cultivation ways, they were amazed at Falun Dafa's characteristic of "Cultivating both mind and body" and its popularity, with so many people practising Falun Gong around the world.

Prior to this activity, due to some groups' prejudice against Falun Dafa, when we approached them and offered to introduce Falun Dafa to them, they mostly refused us. However, this time the Korean Spiritual Science Association, which is an influential group in Korea, accepted, indicating that the mainstream society of Korea has rapidly developed a positive understanding of Falun Gong.

Some attendees had read Zhuan Falun¹, and were interested in starting to practise Falun Gong. They gained a more comprehensive understanding of Dafa through this introductory session.

Through this activity, practitioners realised that we should extend our Falun Gong introduction activities and clarify the truth to all social strata and groups that are not familiar with the practice, or who have misunderstandings about Dafa. We took the opportunity to deeply and extensively clarify the truth to people from different walks of life and different groups, organisations, and political and academic fields, so as to dispel their misunderstanding of Falun Dafa.
