On the 11th of June 2004, Sweden’s Hallands County newspaper published reports about Zhizhen Dai and little Fadu on the front and second page, together with two large pictures.
Journalist Ms Martinsson reported in her article the intention of this mother and daughter coming to Scandinavia and the persecution they have suffered. The report said four years ago, her husband was persecuted to death for being a Falun Gong practitioner:
Jane Dai and her daughter have come to Valberg city. They are exposing the persecution that Falun Gong practitioners have suffered in China in every country in Northern Europe.
Jane Dai and Fadu came to Valberg to tell the story of how Jane’s husband was persecuted to death in China. Since May, Jane Dai participated in touring lectures entitled “China’s Human Rights Forum” held in four Northern European countries including the Swedish Parliament, the Norwegian Parliament, the Danish Parliament and the Finnish Parliament.
Jane Dai and Fadu are the victims of the Chinese government’s persecution of Falun Gong. In democratic countries, she has the right and opportunity to tell the truth. Dai said to the reporter, ”In China, Falun Gong practitioners are being persecuted and they don’t have the right to speak out.”
Jane Dai, 41, is currently in the town of Valberg. Her husband, Chengyong Chen was persecuted to death in 2000. After she fled from China with her six month-old daughter, she never got a visa to go back to China again. She went around the whole world with her daughter, telling the people about the truth behind the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners.
Jane’s objective of doing this is to help the child victims of the persecution like Fadu. Because of the persecution of Falun Gong, lots of Falun Gong practitioners’ children have lost their parents.
Falun Gong is a movement, Jane says it is the goal of life. ” Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance are a guideline of life for us.”
Falun Gong is an ancient cultivation way from China. In 1999 Falun Gong was banned in China, followed by the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. Dai is preparing to return home to Sydney at the end of June, after taking part in the Norwegian Parliament forum.
