Falun Dafa Practitioner Chen Min from Linquan County, Fuyang City, Anhui Province, was persecuted repeatedly because she upheld her belief in "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance". She died as a result of persecution in April 2001.
Ms. Cheng Min was about 40 years old and a worker in the Grain and Oil Food Factory of Linquan County. At the end of 1997, she learned Falun Dafa. Before she practised Falun Gong, she suffered from kidney stones and stomach illnesses. She once lost sight in both eyes and constantly shed tears when exposed to wind or cold. She also had cancer of the uterus, and many other diseases. Soon after she started practising Falun Dafa, all of the illnesses that had tormented her for many years disappeared without trace. She knew it was Teacher and Dafa that gave her a new life.
After the ban on Falun Gong began on July 20, 1999, like thousands upon thousands of other Falun Dafa practitioners, she maintained a heart of kindness, and went to Beijing to appeal for the right to practise Falun Dafa. The lawless personnel of the Linquan County's "610 Office" and the Shuishang Police Station persecuted her repeatedly. She was detained, fined and forced to undergo brainwashing under extreme pressure. Her home was searched and her property was confiscated. Under the brutal persecution, Ms. Cheng was physically tortured, as well as psychologically abused. Her illnesses recurred and she was not able to take care of herself. The "610 Office" finally released her due to her family's demands. Upon returning home, the lawless personnel of the "610 Office" and the Shuishang Police Station went to her home and harassed her almost everyday. Even when she was so sick she could not leave her bed, they still made her report to the police station every day. In April 2001, Ms. Cheng Min passed away.
